No parking light flash when locking car...
Hey,
There's a weird problem occuring recently, and a lot of times now when I lock the car, I can HEAR the door locks locking, but I don't see any lights flashing and I don't get the beep.
All doors shut, trunk shut too.
So what do I do when I hear the locks locking but no lights flashing?
I keep pressing the lock button on my remote a couple times until I DO see the lights flash.
I get the satisfaction somehow when I see my car doing what it's supposed to do (flash when I lock).
Weird huh?
My driver door lock seems to stay locked while all the other doors unlock recently too.
I have to press unlock 3 times for my driver door to unlock while the other doors are unlocked from my first try lol
Anyone know what's going on?

Do you get the red flashing light indicating that you car is fully locked and alarm system is armed? Part of the circuit is the engine hood being completely shut as well. Try opening and closing the hood to make sure the hood is closed and the circuit is closed. I don't remember if I had the parking lights flash, but I didn't have the issue where I didn't have the flashing red indicator. Opening and closing the hood did the trick.

I know the culprit now!
I think my driver lock is sticking.
So when I lock my car, I don't see any lights flash because my driver door lock didn't lock.
I just thought, because the sme happens when you try to lock your car but your trunk is still open, right? Or when you leave open a door and try to lock.

Sounds like you are on it. Unless the circuit is closed, you won't get the flash and won't get the beep confirmation if you hit the fob twice.

i have the same thing. its a little motor in the door probably like $18. the way i do it is when im getting out of the car, just push the drivers side lock down and itll lock all the other doors too. then you can press the lock button and you will see the lights go on and the beep. then when unlocking you can press the unlock button to open all the doors except the drivers door and just use the key for the drivers door. its simple, just takes some extra time.

Same problem is happening to my uncles MDX. The car locks but the alarm isn't arming. Here I read this but idk if it applies to TL's.
I looked through the service manual and it doesn't have any reference to this.. but on mine it functions correctly - the second time you press the LOCK button, either the alarm horns chirp, or the *Keyless Buzzer makes the beep (this isn't detailed in the manual).
I'd check a couple of things...
1) When you LOCK & UNLOCK the car with the transmitter, do the parking lights on the MDX flash?
2) When you press the PANIC button, does the alarm signal with both the High and Low horns?
The horns are controlled by the passenger's Multiplex Control Unit (MCU) ... and there is a relay which supplies power to the horns - it is under the hood and has a 20 amp fuse (No 47). If either of the horns function in the panic mode, then the fuse and relay are okay - if the high horn doesn't work, then it is either a bad horn or the connection to ground on the horn is bad. If the low horn doesn't work - it has an additional 7.5 amp fuse (No 64 in the auxiliary fuse holder).
If the parking lights don't flash in test #1, then your security system isn't being armed. The security indicator on the driver's door panel should also flash when the system's been armed. The Keyless Buzzer and the horn relay are both controlled by the passenger MCU... the receiver unit feeds its info (Lock, unlock, panic) to the driver's MCU.
For the system to arm, the ignition switch must be off and the key removed - the doors, hood & tailgate must also be closed and locked.
* The Keyless Buzzer is located behind the right inner fender - which I believe should be responsible for the chirp when the LOCK button is pressed twice.
Let us know what you find.

you should check your lock solenoids what is happening is when you lock your doors all the door locks are not are not locking it sounds like they are but they are not .when you lock the car check all of the doors one of then will most likely be unlocked.

Thanks, it was fixed by replacing the driver door lock actuator.

Congrats! We had the same issue on our MDX and had the driver's side rear door lock actuator replaced.

woot glad you fixed it GP!! I was going to suggest either door lock actuators or sometimes the hood switch has gone haywire and it doesn't flash either (i.e. if you were to open your hood, you can lock your car but it won't beep or arm the security system).

I think a few days after I made this thread my driver side door actuator stopped working completely and forced me to use my key.
At that point I knew I had to get a new door lock actuator, and that's what I did.
Guess I forgot to report back to this thread haha

I'm having this problem, but only my driver side light won't blink??? All the other lights work fine. But the left turn signal light work, it's only when I set my alarm what it won't work??

Either the side marker light or turn signal bulb needs replacement. IIRC, the turn signal bulb is a common dual filament bulb, which is why the turn signal still works.
If it's the side marker, that is a LED unit that's replaced in its entirety; $45 for an aftermarket, less than $100 for OEM.
