Got the test pipe installed today. Butt dyno tells me I gained 36.5 HP (more like 5 or 6) which isn't bad for $40 including installation.

There's a slightly noticeable difference in the tone of the exhaust as well. I may try to grab a video later today.

Tomorrow may be my only day man. I'm driving back to LA and TX on Sunday. I love brakemotive. I had them on my IS300, installed on my friends 06 civic, 05 G35, and on my M45 now. Apparently the OEM brakes warped badly but no issues with my brake motives. Good choice and the looks you cannot beat bro! Love the vids.

Yep. All it is is a straight pipe that goes in place of the third cat.

Taking out the intake resonator now. I've got to say, its a bigger pain in the ass than I thought it'd be. I can't figure out how to get the lower section of the intake out for the life of me.

Did you drill out a pop rivet that is located on the lower resonator? Honetly, I just tore mine off since it's only plastic and wasn't going to put it back on since I was replacing mine with a CAI. Hmm....now that I think about it.....even after I sold my CAI, I never put my old resonator back with no issues.

That's what I ended up doing. haha

I found an extra can of Plastidip in our shed this morning so I decided to dip the rear emblems.

I've got a question though, if I don't like the look of the black emblems, how do you take it off? I've seen people use WD40, but would that still work on the emblems and would I have to retape everything so it doesn't mess up the paint? Or will it even affect the paint at all?

I used some Goo Gone on a towel to take the Plastidip off my grill. It can off much easier than trying to peel it off.

Thanks Predatorbird, I ended using the GooGone for the overspray too.

I think the emblems came out nicely.

The emblems did turn out good....now what's that sticker in the middle of the rear bumper?

Thanks Steven!

And my dad was a sheriffs deputy before he passed away a few years back. It basically just let's police know there's a law enforcement officer in the family.

Gotcha....it's a shame that can't go in the rear window or someplace less conspicuous.

Met up with a fellow member today to pick up his Dynomax resonator. Got it installed this afternoon and grabbed a short video. I think it sounds great, but not as good as the XLR8 quads that Brandon had. Good God did those sound sexy.

I think I'm done with the exhaust for now, unless I can find PCDs or J-Pipe locally.

The next big purchase will hopefully be something for the bumpers.

Noticed I have a license plate light out and figured it'd be the perfect time to switch to LEDs. I know the size is 168, but I'm confused as to what style LED I need to get. I was looking at these
http://www.vleds.com/bulb-number/min...tar_rating=147

Can anybody offer some help?

And if everything goes according to plan, I'll have a nice update this weekend.

Thanks man. I was hoping to get the ones off V-Leds though since they've got a 35% coupon going on right now and it's free shipping.

I saw where you posted it was a single LED bulb. Did you just get one or two packs?

So far from what I have seen they only come in packs of one, so yes I bought two packs. And from a price standpoint, that sucks. They were 9.99 per bulb...oh well

im not sure what was worse, paying $20 for two bulbs or pulling out the trunklid liner just to replace license plate bulbs

How did you change them without taking out the liner?

I'm going to check Autozone in the morning and see if they have any.

If I'm not wrong the 3g tl has the same type of license plate lens as the accord and therefore your better off with a bulb facing straight down. My avatar pic has the straight down bulb and its a lot brighter than the 360 one i had before.

UA6 wants the liner out to replace the license plate bulb. Positive

For license, don't even get close to cree ones, you need like 360 degree ones or this one
http://www.vleds.com/6k-white-4-led-...-pair-b-o.html

Or just buy 5k boards from ebay for $3-$6 and play custom
Even for license plate, like I did...

If I didn't know a good ebay board led seller, or new to the leds
I would go with Sylvania/Osram LEDriving lights, everywhere
So it matches and from pictures, looks good.

That's if I had no idea about leds^

No. No way
It's not facing straight down. That cree lens will just hit the plastic inside trunk (front of the bulb holder)

I got so many pics on my thread but don't know where license is
gimme a minute

Don't get cree. I'd suggest these http://www.vleds.com/6k-white-4-led-...58-1-pair.html
I have them in red and just ordered the 6k. I've tried the 5k and its a soft white. Or the 360 degree ones.
