And its funny you say that, I had just noticed yesterday when I was walking up to it that the tires looked nice and beefy too. I'm definitely more into that look that the stretched look. Suppose it probably has something to do with my V8 RWD background.

^^^ KJ you need to ask Steve for some tips....
his Silver Type S is so smooooth to touch...he maintains the paint really well and since its silver, its not tooo hard to maintain as some of the darker colors...

Yeah, half off! Way too good a deal to pass up. It was an Amazon lightning deal, probably only lasted for about an hour or something. Total impulse buy, and totally worth it.

Saw it Steven, stuff looks pretty great! If it lasts the way it claims to, I think it will have a lot more supporters soon!
Your paint looks fantastic too! I might have to try that Wolfgang stuff. Although I suppose I should give the griots a shot first since I already have it.

Thanks buddy-Jeremy was the motivation for this.
I'm happy with the Wolfgang's AND the Tuf Shine.
Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the Griot's Garage products either!

Sweet, good to know. I'll stick with the Griot's to start with. That tire shine might just be a spring purchase tho!
In other news....my Valentine 1 will be getting a new home soon! Thanks Q!

Looking good.
I would be careful of that cover, I am active on a radar forum and placing the V1 in that cover in the back decreases sensitivity of V1 by a SIGNIFICANT amount. The front sensor is not as powerful as the rear sensor is. My V1 is sensitive to where it is on the front windshield, I can't ever imagine having mine in the back and if you have tint in the back it can also disrupt the signal strength.
I would do some tests at a store late at night. Park in the back where the signal strength is one or two dots. Try the V1 in the front, try it in the back, different angles and see how the response is.

I wish the V1 worked in VA, no matter how hard you conceal it those troopers use "sniffers" to detect radars. Unfortunately they also take away the detector and give you a big fine. I hate driving through VA anytime I am down there which is often.
So I bought the Beltronics STi Driver that I use when I am in VA, it has the totalshield protection and they can't detect that.

Man, VA doesn't sound fun. But Florida store sure would be nice with no emissions testing! Woulda loved that back in my younger years.
Either way, it arrived today and I should be getting it on this weekend and giving it a test

Had a chance to install the V1 mount and run the wires, its overall a pretty clean looking piece, I like it a lot. What do you guys think?
Also, happened to walk out to my car the other night and a NBP with A-Specs was parked right by me, thought I would grab a quick pic.

Honestly, the mount looks factory (from the picture).

To be honest, it really looks pretty damn close. Whoever made it did some really nice work.
All that said, I really regret to say that I talked to Q and I'm sending it back to him today. I just couldn't get my V1 to work properly with it. I think its possible since JPTL had his in back and said it worked fine, but in mine, it just wasn't working. So back to the windshield for my V1, and someone else will have a chance at a really nice custom piece.

So I scored a great deal on a Sony DSLR that I just couldn't pass up, so Christmas is done for me, but I'm happy! I had no idea how much I had to learn about photography though, this is complicated stuff. And then there is the editing afterwards that seems like an equally big dragon to slay, but I'm looking forward to it.
Anyway, I've taken a whole bunch of shots so far, nothing too fancy yet tho. Here is one I liked. I figured once I learn something about editing I could make it better as well.

And of course, my main test subject so far:
