Andrew's 2009 TL SH-AWD WDP

Figured I'd start somewhat of a build thread since my car is going under the knife.

Picked this baby up in February of 2014

Few months after that, picked up my CT Engineering exhaust from KarKraze and ordered my lip kit.

Car is in for air suspension. Airlift Autopilot V2 with one 444cc compressor, a 3 gallon tank and 3/8 airlines on K-Sport air suspension. More to come shortly...

444cc usually only requires one. I only have a 3 gallon tank in the first place so I don't need a dual compressor since this one takes only about a minute to go from 120-175 psi. Also, the top bump in our trunk is where I mounted everything and two compressors plus a tank wouldn't fit. I wanted a perfect fit and make my trunk still useable.

did you notice a big difference in the ride experience, especially with the awd? did you get to try it in snow conditions?

He's not finished with the install so he hasn't driven it yet.

Andrew, how are you liking those CT mufflers?

Thanks guys. The air suspension is all wired but the bags will be installed tomorrow. I'll let you guys know about the ride comfort but a friend of mine rides his all season in his WRX and it's awesome.

They're pretty good. I mean some people complain they're small and I can see why but I didn't want something with crazy drone and this fits perfectly. Maybe one day if I have $1500 to spare, I'd consider the ATLP...

I guess I haven't updated this in a while... The bags were a bust. I ordered KSport bags (which I guess was my mistake since they suck) and the vendor that sold it to me told me they were 3/8's fittings. I got them and noticed they were 1/4. Upon attempting to install them with adapters, all the adapters blew up so that was a fail. I was able to run air for a day by ghetto rigging it all up.

For anyone in the future looking to do air suspension, avoid D2 and KSport in general. Their system's aren't that great and I've had some bad experience with both the Ksport on my TL and the D2 on my TSX. Stick with Airrex, airlift, the more reputable brands. Also, our vehicles require 200psi lift for some reason in the front and V2 doesn't support up to 200psi... ya.

This is the only picture I have really... The front would not raise due to not supporting 200psi so my front in that picture is actually airred out. I had to drive like that. Was horrible

After scrapping the whole air system and returning (getting into a fight with the vendor, then having the credit card company process a refund for me) the struts. I opted for H&R springs and now my car is my basic daily. Here it is with a yakima roof rack for my bike and snowboard in winter. Not much more mods after this, really just doing basic maintenance and enjoying the car as it is.

I just sold my CT Engineering exhaust to a friend. Wanted to go back to that stock no sound life since I really much enjoy being able to cruise around with no sound. Plus my mother likes driving it without that considering she drives this to work during bad winter storms.

I'm currently on the look out for new 20" wheels for next season. I've recently got a quote for Rotiform SNA's and since they have a 25% off deal right now, I might go ahead and grab them. Use the money from my exhaust towards the wheels since I'm a poor student lol. Also looking to paint match my front grille and possibly retrofit TSX-R lens and black out housing headlight. Money is tight so I'm in no rush.

Anyways, that's the latest!
