I asked Rob about removing the speed governator weeks ago, he said that they currently haven't been able to remove it and that comptech designs software; hondata or some other tuner company will have to design the software to remove it. He also told me that comptech will begin testing the blower in an AT.

It's a shame. A 300+ hp awd car with a beemer beater chassis, superb brakes and a 130mph top speed, when all competitors limit at 155. I understand the different driving culture and heavy traffic in the US, but buying a car like this is a very psychological and emotional question and in this case a theoretical top speed does matter.
I think many would private import a TL to Europe, but with the top speed of a diesel Accord (aka TSX)... We have some 3G TL'a around.
I'm sorry, I was off topic.

Guys, I invite you to Germany, where you can lawfully extract the full potential of your car and 130mph is not much at all. But don't go that far, when traffic is not heavy, you can easily do 130 and more even in my country, Hungary. I beleive that if you are careful and road is empty, driving once or twice at above 200 kph for a short period (as I did with an Euro Accord) can be fun.

The turbo build I believe hasn't become a reality because no one has fronted the money/car; not because Rodney can't do it.
If I lived in FL/nearby I'd have gotten it done, although I do fear the stock trans, gearbox, interals can't handle 550whp.

This is real!!! That's why I am so confused why CT-E giving up this project, which they did 50% of it.
Well, may be they want to put a bigger blower in the car, which have difficulity to fit that in. I hope they not giving up and will put a production any sooner to the market.
The SC in the TL just so sexy.....lol ^0^

As I've maintained all along; sticking with their "shaft across the front of the motor" design from the 2G days seems lazy.
You could integrate it whipple style into the intake manifold or put a Rotex blower on the pulley side of the motor, and use much less material, leave the car much more serviceable, and not have to fool with all that throttle neck fab, throttle body and cable/wiring relocation...
Comptech will deliver a well fabricated product; but you know they'll want $6,000 for it, and as that picture shows; I'd be surprised if it's more than 45WHP/65 ft/lbs peaks for the 3.7L.

Did anything ever come of this?

Correct, and unless CT-E is shipping injectors, and a proper fuel pump solution and a tuning solution which will take care of timing advance... I really would like more manufacturer feedback... but sadly getting information from CT-E is like getting a glass of water in Hell.

^ Typically, they should show it off to SEMA first since it's a trade show where all the automotive industry wants to show off their new stuff before it hit the consumer market. I remembered couple a years ago, Mugen have a booth and show off the 04 TL with mildly modified parts from Mugen. It wasn't a big hit for the industry, so they scrapped that idea. It's also a sale gimick too if they like to push the product. So, since they did a SC on a 2012 TL I'm pretty sure they will be at SEMA.
