ok so if you are going turbo i would say get firmer than 60A.....
you will be pumping out close to 500 WHP and WTQ.....i would say get the 75A atleast......coz after the turbo i doubt you will be easy on the whip......

alright all of this has made me realize its really no different than how my car is now with the PC deletes, no third cat, and rougher idle on cold startup from the MDX spacer. 75 it is! ...unless excelerate makes his announcement pretty damn soon!

cant really compare a rough idle with vibrating head rest LOL !!!
but for sure when u step on the gas....she will take off.....and after 20 mph you wont really be able to tell a difference !!!!
on a side question.....i was thinking of doing the MDX spacer mod....well i dont have turbo plans for my car.....just a full exhaust (precats + jpipe + test pipe + catback)....so do u think the spacer will help me gain some torque or will it result in more high end loss ???

^^ itll help u off the line and u wont lose nearly any top end, if any at all. lol my buddy with a 09 impreza wrx (non sti, but 14lbs turbo) that weighs 3100lbs and is stock with a 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds launches hard with AWD and can only beat me by a door to 60mph. My low end is monstrous. I'd go for it. Check ludachrisvt's thread in BST. $60 + ships. All parts brand new. Once again I'd go for it for sure with ur setup. Thats what im currently running... well... b4 friday!!

Fyi to everyone, most rattles and buzzes come from the dashboard itself
I noticed when I tug on the dash (pulling it towards me), just about all noises disappear. So what I did was jam several pieces of thick black rubber foam where the windshield and dashboard meet. None of it is visible, and it seems to work very very well.
You'd be very surprised how quiet my interior is now even with 60A mounts!

I posted this before elsewhere, but here it is again because it seems pertinent.
I have the Black 75A. Comparing comments from those that have Red 60A to my 75A, the vibration seems to be the same amount. IMO, these mounts (both 60A and 75A) are "hardcore"... not for the timid. But, the advantages are there if you are into "performance" (and the associated compromises). I am very happy with my 75A mounts.
Although opinions vary on if a break-in is needed, mine were crazy-stiff when I first installed the 75A mounts. The first time I started the car after installing them, I shit in my pants..... and you know that I am *not* timid. I thought to myself, "hell, no damn way, these pos has gotta come back out". My car was shaking like a Top Fuel Dragster.
In retrospect (looking back on it), I did make one mistake during install. I had disconnected the battery for safety. However, I did not perform the "idle relearn" procedure. So, my engine was idling at very low rpm's while the ecu struggled to "learn" on it's own. This low-rpm idle produce much of the vibration. And combined with the new (not broken-in yet) mounts, it vibrated like a Top Fuel Dragster. I mean that in a "bad" way, not in a "cool" way. It was uggggllly.
But, I had wanted solid mounts for many years, long before Innovative decided to make these. So, I gritted my teeth and gave them a chance.
After a few hours of driving, the ecu finally learned how to properly idle. That helped a lot with calming the vibration. It still had intense vibration, but at least it was not like a Top Fuel Dragster any longer.
After approx one week of driving, the mounts became much less harsh. The vibration was very much noticeable thru the car seat (my racing seats). But, that was ok. Sorta like a vibrating Lazy-Boy chair. Just what a person needs while driving home. Seriously, it was sorta relaxing to have vibration thru the seat.
The vibration would visibly rattle the dash and produce rattling sounds from within the dash. If you are bothered by rattle sounds, do not get these mounts (60A or 75A). You will have new rattles that you never had before.
I have had my mounts for 14 months. At this point in time, the mounts produce a modest amount of vibration, nothing compared to the first few months. Combine that with me learning to ignore the vibration, and the vibration is no longer noticeable to me. However, I *do* still notice the advantages. I love the solid feel that the car has; I love the way that the mounts made the engine sound (transmits audible engine sounds into the cabin -- a good thing); I love the improved traction ( I feel that they contributed to making my sub-5 0-60 run).
Any and all vibration is just while idling. Once the engine comes-up away from idle and/or you starting rolling forward, there is just the slightest vibration. And, you can't feel any vibration once the car is past approx 5 mph.
The mounts are similar to starting a new love relationship. It is a little "rocky" in the beginning, requiring compromises to be developed as each party learns and adapts to each other. But, in the long run, things work out for the better, and you are happy that you endured those early hardships in the beginning.
After living with these 75A mounts for 14 months, I would immediately purchase another set of 75A mounts, without thinking twice, if something happened to my current set.

That issue is referred to as "donut" deformation.
It is widely known by the 2G owners for a long time now.
This is one reason why I am willing to endure the extra harness of the stiffer Black 75A. Although with the 2G's, the black will still "donut" too.

yea i think ive gone through 5 or 6 replacements so far, im actually looking into integrating the acura integra side mount from the 2000 type r..... that thing is a beast!!! I was actually considering asking innovative to put 75 or even 90 poly in there just to see how fast i break it...lol

majofo - i swear there was some discussion against just installing one IM mount and leaving factories at the other points. Stillhere might have been in on those conversations.

Can you post pics of where exactly. and the specs on the rubber foam. I have realized that it is the dash that is causing the vibration noise the most.

i dont think IM took into hand what type of abuse these things were going to be getting =/
I have a few ideas of my own..... im just going to wait to see what Josh and his company have when R&D is over and theyre actually on the market.

For the 2G guys, they would begin to get intense vibration.
For us 3G guys, we have not had any one complain about their IM mounts. So, I would have to speculate that an IM mount with the donut deformation would begin to wheel-hop again like with the oem mounts, and that you should be able to see much more engine rock/movement when testing it with the hood open and switching between reverse/drive.

And about the Innovative mounts, from what I heard you have to send them your mount when it goes bad for diagnosis.. Thats down time with your car + shop labor (in most cases). With the amount of failures I heard of, it would be better if we paid for the parts and they covered labor and transportation since that gets way more expensive. They even charge shipping every time. $10 bushing (paid by them) vs a min of $100 shop laber + $10 shipping (by you). I think its just ridiculous.
I really hope I don't regret this purchase in the future since they've been reliable so far..

After beginning to hear about these failures, I am becoming more and more tempted to just switch back to the stock mounts. Parts are going to cost me close to 300, because I dont think I have any of the old parts. But i'm beginning to think its better!

ned even if they did harden the compound it would donut... i think its because of the tapered style crap-ola style bushings they use... i really feel that a harder rubber substance filled all the way through in the mount would be perfect but then again who knows on how it would react with the absurd up n down motions of this motor..... if the mounts break on me after i upgrade and get the 75A im going to fill it with vulcanized rubber at 80A and call it a day. lol

^^^ if you have zip-tied the rubber hose somewhere near the rear/front mount location, i think you should be able to just plug it back in !!!!

They like the hard 75A, and they what even harder?
The 75A is too soft and forms a donut, and they come back to try something stronger? I am confused...
