Made the three hour hike back down to Paul a couple Saturdays ago to have him do the 105k (about 8k late). He replaced the TB, tensioner, idler, adjuster, and water pump (Aisin kit), oem drive belt and tensioner, thermostat, upper/lower radiator hoses and clamps and also sway bar end links.
Car's running great! Thanks Paul!

Throwing in a kudos for Paul. He just completed my AV6 swap in my 02 TLs and did a great job. He's thorough, honest, very fair on pricing and very flexible. He even did some extra things like my rear engine mount etc.

Met up with Paul last week for a few things on my Accord. As everyone in this thread has already stated Paul is a great guy, really cool and an easy going dude. You can tell he really knows his way around these cars, and this is from someone that has owned and worked on Hondas/Acura for a long time. No one in the Tri-state area should hesitate one bit in bringing their car to Paul for work on their Honda/Acura; it's well worth the trip.
Now, on to looking for an AV6 for my TL for paul to do the swap.

105K service...
Paul,
My mother lives in Clifton and I am interested in linking up with you in the near future to schedule the 105K service along with a general inspection of my vehicle. Just purchased a 2008 TL Type-S. It has about 95k on the motor. Everything is stock and from what I can tell the car was meticulously maintained. Based on the feedback I'm am interested in doing business with you. Thanks.

Hi, Paul
it seems you have done transmission swap for TL ? I have 2001 TL (black that you worked on once for brakes) that it happens a few times that D5 mode can't engage that driver (my father in law) had to shift between N/D4/D5 to get it going. so I would like to swap in a Honda accord 06/07 AT ? please let me know whether you do it. If yes, it would be great if you could source AT and I will just leave the TL to you for the swap ?

Very knowledgable
I've used Paul on a couple occasions and wanted to say that I'm extremely happy with his work. He defiantly knows what hes doing and also takes the time to explain and recommend things that need to be done, or what should've been done (i.e. alignment after getting new tires).
His prices are also very reasonable.
I'll be going back in a few months for the 105K service.

Mechanic Feedback
Vehicle Info: Stock 2008 TL Type-S, automatic transmission
Mileage: 96,000-ish
So I just had work completed on my car with the assistance of Paul Sobstyl. His shop is located in Clifton, NJ (Northern NJ). Based on the positive feedback from other customers, I decided to do business with him. Without a doubt he is very knowledgeable (Acura & Hondas are his specialty), courteous, and takes the time to explain everything to you in full-detail throughout the entire process. It was definitely a great learning experience for me. His shop is very clean, he's very skilled, and only utilizes top-quality parts. His prices are also very good and he does not compromise quality of service by doing so.
Completed Preventative Maintenance Repairs:
Timing belt kit, drive belt, valve adjustment, compliance bushings, sparkplugs + seals, PCV valve, radiator hoses, and engine/tranny mounts, throttle body cleaning.
***Please note, these repairs were all done at once. The goal is to address these parts in advance prior to them failing. Additionally, we addressed common items that needed to be replaced based on my current mileage.***
Performance Review:
The car runs very smoothly now. It was running well before but the difference was more noticeable to me after I picked it up. The car shifts like butter when changing if from park to drive. I attribute this to the new motor mounts. It doesn’t have that jerking reaction as it did before. The ticking noises also went away and the belt no longer squeals. I also feel an improvement during highway driving – less vibration. Normally, the motor would be much louder in colder weather (ticking) but it’s no longer an issue. This morning it was 37 degrees by my house and the car was very quiet during idle – a very good improvement. The car is more responsive in the lower RPM range. I attribute this to his tune-up. Paul, the good guy that he is, threw in free radiator hoses and inspected my rear brakes out of courtesy. I certainly appreciated the new hoses!
Paul is the man, worth doing business with, and he will not disappoint. I’m very meticulous when it comes to mechanical repairs on my car and he exceeded all of my expectations. Worth the drive for those outside of the state.

Paul is THE GUY!
I too went to him based on the great reviews on Acurazine forums and he did a great job on my 3g TL Type-s for water pump, engine mounts and stuff.
Paul knows his stuff!
We should start a go fund me and get him a shop or something (haha)
I know I will be returning with ball joints and tie rod jobs to him in the future

Did a couple of av6 swaps .
And I did a rear main seal on everyone of them since it's right there .
Surprisingly the actual seal didn't leak but the o-ring above it .
