DMV 3rd Gen TL meet 6/14/15
Picture explains it all.
Anyways, sorry for being MIA, been busy the past couple months. Wasn't really feeling Great Falls meet this year just because it was cold and most ppl are in their winter setup. I mean who wants to see a bunch of stock cars
Putting this up early so there's no excuse not to attend!

I'll try to make it out from NJ. It's a 50/50 chance I work or I don't on Saturdays.

I was there, disappointed. Everyone had their windows all the way up and only one person had their hood up to show their mods. Rightfully so, as they had a turbo setup. I tried to stir up a conversation or two with people and some weren't very talkative. Maybe more smaller meets need to be planned to establish more of a community and not just a car gathering.

Smaller meets would be awesome to get some more familiarity going on, and create a more cohesive community as you mentioned.
Was great to see all the cars that made it out however. A lot more than I had expected! Nice to see some of the mods I had in mind in person to get a better idea for future plans.
Hope to see more events/meets in the coming months.

Sadly I have to agree with what you mentioned... Recently purchased my TL and fairly new to the scene. Kinda felt like the new kid walking into the middle of class haha.

I'm sorry I was unable to make this meet. I'm also sorry some of you guys were disappointed. Minh, lets plan something else soon. Maybe a Tech Day or something? I haven't seen your car since last year and I know you been killin' it!

I think the biggest reason for everyone not being super talkative was the heat. I believe it has been the hottest day of the year so far. Plus there was no where to hide from the sun. Probably drained a lot of peoples energy baking out there. I know I was pretty tired after a few hours and needed to pit stop a few times for drinks.
A state park or somewhere near the water would be nice during the summer time to help with temps.

That and the fact that you guys weren't DOING anything. Tech Days are great for breaking the ice as we all have something to do and can share experiences to assist others who may not have done the same work. Example, I am a lighting guru (not to toot my own horn), but Minh was very helpful when I was installing my Inspire fogs and cutting the hell out of my bumper! I had another member assist me with installing my springs (which I had never done before) but you should have seen me go with the spring compressor. First times suck, but they are great confidence builders. So much so that I installed springs on the S2K by myself a few weeks ago!

Majority of the people are from MD/VA unlike us PA people we all live 30-45 away from each other.
