I'm surprised more of you aren't just painting the calipers black and applying 3m vinyl logos to your calipers. I did this on my old TSX a few years back before I upgraded to a BBK. I got tons of compliments on it and it was super easy to do, pic for proof.

I don't think those would work on our calipers. There's a dip in the middle and two on the sides...not a flat surface for the logos to adhere to.

^^ All this snow has been putting a damper on experimentation, I did a quick test and i'm pretty sure i can mount the caliper covers on both the front AND rear, with some modifications to the covers.

The fronts would mount on just the calipers, and the caliper bracket would have to be painted black to match, while the rear could potentially cover both the cover and bracket.

After this weekend my house renovations will be finished so i'll be able to get the car on the lift, i've got a massive dumpster blocking half of the garage right now.

I never had any issues with heat. I would put new stickers on every spring, they held up great for me but as someone has mentioned the surface of the calipers on the tl might not be flat enough for decals.

What's going on with the progress on this thread? I am really interested in doing this for my rear calipers & for the front I would like to put the RL Calibers if possible, has anybody created a custom bracket for the RL calibers to fit a 4G TL/2012 TL SH-AWD?

Does it mean this caliper cover idea isn't working for the 4G TL ?

I like a clean ride and consmetics are important. But seriously, who are you trying to impress? If you want the BB look, just get the BBK. Otherwise you'll just be another poser.

Even though he gave the silicone adhesive ample time to cure they wouldn't stay on.

Looks great! Any mods required to get these to fit? Is it the same part# for both front and back? Thanks.

Same part number for both front and rear 45218-TX4-A00. The only mod is to get rid of the top tab, you can bend it flat or cut it like I did. Also you have to open the tab sides a little just enough for them to hug the TL calipers, pretty easy straightforward. To keep them in place I used some JB weld and/or high heat black silicon. I still need to do the rears both the fronts look 100x better.
