Not proud of this one, but I hit the back of a semi... Low speed, but did a good number on my front end. The grill will have to be replaced, and I'm assuming the bumper as well (seems to have lost a clip). Just looking for some opinions here as far as repair. I was thinking of filing a claim, I have a low deductible (250), but I know I'll be paying for it monthly. FWIW, I have not filed a claim before.
I am not opposed to replacing the parts myself. I have not had a chance to look under the bumper, but everything seems to be structurally okay. Any input on the cost of parts or labor involved?
Also, any estimates what this would cost as a shop if I didn't go with the insurance?

Honestly doesn't look that bad! The big issue is the headlamps (big $)

You can honestly replace the grille and re use your bumper!

Just having my fender replaced and painted with no other work done is $1500. That's with an aftermarket fender...

Bumper would probably be "reconditioned" and grill would be replaced.

Headlights would probably be reconditioned (sanded down and recleared) as well.

I'm betting that's at least $2k worth of work
