what is wrong with my acura 2.5 tl 96'???
Hello everyone was wondering if anyone could help me...My car's battery seems to be working fine however, it will not start! I feel like it might be the key switch? Any idea what common problems there might be...also it is already burning oil (high mileage), just put some in 4 days ago and its low already...Thanks in advance to whoever helps

You can also try by make a new key to see if that works.
Your starter may also be going.
It is burning a lot of oil because your seals need to be replaced.

Most likely leaking seals are distributor/camshaft drive oring and the oil filter extension oring ( a big leaker on 2.5TL's). Fix those and see if problem is better. Make sure PCV system is clear and working correctly as this can push oil from crankcase vapors into air intake if PCV valve is gummed and stuck closed or hose is blocked w/ gunk.
If starter "clicks" but doesn't engage then starter replacement is indicated. If starter is turning engine over, but no start, then new starter won't help. Problem is either lack of fuel or ignition. Check fuel by listening for fuel pump buzz from fuel tank for 2-3 secs, when keyswitch is turned to ON. No fuel pump buzz means main fuel relay or fuel pump is not working.
If fuel pump is good, check spark w/ a timing light pickup installed on spark plug lead/s. No flash means no spark to plugs.
good luck
