Hoping to score a TLX tomorrow morning!
Just stumbled upon this website and it looks like an amazing resource for TLX owners - I can't wait to spend some time reading it tonight.
Anyhow, I'll save the introduction for another post, but wanted to confirm that there really are some incredible deals out there right now, especially in the Atlanta metro where inventory is completely saturated.
I have a verbal confirmation from a dealer willing to do $30,500 for a 2.4 Tech in white with espresso interior. Absolutely gorgeous car with plenty of bells and whistles. If they come in at a fair price on my trade, I'll be driving her home by lunch time tomorrow. Wish me luck!
And good luck to the rest of you out there crafting your own deals on the leftover 2015s!

If the OP does his research and does a very thorough test drive it should let him know how the car is and from there make his decision. It is still a "new" design and first model year so all of us who made the purchase were in effect Acura's guinea pigs.
He also said that he was getting the model at closer to 30k so that's a significant amount less than 40k

I had mine for almost 6 months, no problems , and enjoy driving everyday.
I only had a couple of scheduled maintenance, no repair or headaches.
Go for it!
Good Luck!

Well, I wouldn't say the TLX is having a lot of problems. Mine, for instance, is problem free and I still enjoy every time I get in it. I will admit that some people are experiencing some problems, but I don't know to what extent it is affecting all cars.

He is not planning on spending 40k. He is planning on spending 30k, on the 4 cyl model. Most of the serious problems reported (transmission shifting and vibration) appear to be limited to the 6 cyl models. It is interesting how no one recently has mentioned an early complaint - reflections from the silver vents.

You guys aren't going to believe this, however I was rear-ended pretty severely ON THE WAY to the dealership to get the car yesterday! My soul was obviously crushed, however everyone involved is safe and sound, thankfully.
That said, I spent some time racking my brain coming up with a creative solution as to how I could still make the deal work and we're back on. I'm just going to have to finance most of the purchase price and sell my car, after repairs, private party. Who knows, might even come out ahead of the game that way.
Scheduled to purchase it one hour from now, god willing!

Got the car without issue and I couldn't be more thrilled with it.
So glad I sprang for the tech package. I was originally on the fence about whether or not it was worth the upgrade, but after spending a few minutes driving back to the office and seeing how surprisingly good the navigation is, not to mention the blindspot and lane departure monitoring, there's no doubt it was worth it. Acura could do a much better job selling these features in my opinion.
Anyhow, I'm excited to now be part of the community and look forward to getting maximum enjoyment out of the car thanks to the wealth of information being shared here.

Congrats and welcome aboard!
$30,500 is a great deal for a 2.4 tech, I congratulate you on your savvy negotiation skills!

Yeah, well done on that price. I paid around $33K before taxes and fees on mine around two months ago before the 16s hit the ground....and I work for a dealer network so my pricing was 'employee pricing'. Just goes to show you that how much can change incentive wise month to month. I love my car, I'm glad you like yours too!

Congrats on the new car. Any pics?
Also are the 2016s at dealers already?

The Honda press release says the on sale date is 9/24. There is a lot of 2015 inventory so maybe the dealers aren't pushing the 2016s yet. I'm curious to see what incentives October brings for the tlx.

I'm a debt averse guy, but given my circumstances, this was really my only option to make the deal happen. I was able to get 1.84% for 60 months, buy in all likelihood, will probably pay it off out of savings in a couple months, after I sell my previous car.
Good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

The $30,500 was not inclusive of any fees or taxes, so I ended up financing a bit over $33,000 with zero down.
