Notes:This is originally for a 6th Gen Accord but it is interchangeable between 6th Gen and the 2G TL/CL. This gave the car a really nice ride. Not to stiff or soft. You will never bottom out(unless you actually super slam it.. lol) This was used for about 2k miles since May '09 as I don't really DD my car

The VERY first ATLP exhaust.

Notes:This is the very original ATLP exhaust. No laser etchings or anything. The muffler size is 2"(iirc) shorter than the one that is being produced now. So, this is louder than any ATLP exhaust that is out for the 2G TL. Includes the nuts and bolts. Will have to get new gaskets though. Contact heeltoe for new gaskets. There are scratches on the bottom side of the muffler but only a few section. It is also dented in, don't remember how but I guess thats because i was so low.

Maryland TL Owners - Snow Tire Question

Don't worry, this is not a thread about which snow tire to get. I've already reviewed those.

Recently relocated to Maryland from Chicago and just bought a manual TLS with stock all-season tires.

After reading a couple posts about how the TLS doesn't handle well in the snow, I started calling a couple tire places in Maryland. Both said they don't stock snow tires because it doesn't snow that much here and people are fine with all-seasons.

My understanding from reading comparisons and articles on snow tires is they're not just for driving in snow, but for driving in cold weather conditions.

The east coast, and Maryland in particular, is way more mountainous/hilly than Chicago. While it doesn't snow here as much, I anticipate driving up and down some of these mountains on a snow-covered highway will not be fun.

So my question to all Maryland TL owners: to buy snow tires, or not to buy?

Just as the title says. Im looking for (4) new or gently used (no curbage) Axis Hiros 18x 8.5 Hypersilver. This finish has been discontinued and is hard to find now so if anyone knows a person, website or a shop that has some I would greatly appreciate the help.

Help Buying my first Acura!!!

So I'm buying my first Acura and theres this 2009 Acura TSX, manual, Grigio metallic exterior with ebony leather interior. Its the base model since it doesnt have Navigation. I want to buy the car..but its already in its second owner and has 30k miles. I'd be the third owner and if I want to sell it that might be a problem dont you think?
Also hes asking for $22500, I dont know if thats too high considering the miles and number of owners. What would you guys do? I love the 09s but im worried in about 2 years from now when I want to upgrade people wont want to buy a car with 3 owners and probably 60k miles.

Anyway let me know what you guys think, oh and also if anyone has already paid for their carfax report and wants to look up the vin for me please let me know, it'd be great help too!

2010 Acura ZDX pricing announced; on sale mid-December

All ZDXs are powered by 3.7-liter V-6 engine and use Acura�s Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive system, and a panoramic glass sunroof claimed to be the longest in all of car-dom is standard. The EPA predicts fuel economy of 16 mpg city/23 mpg highway.
Upgrading to the Technology package requires $50,805 and brings a navigation system with voice recognition and real-time traffic and weather information. The package also yields a 415-watt sound system with 15-GB hard drive, a multi-view rear camera, solar-sensing adaptive climate control, and keyless entry and ignition.

The ZDX with Advance package tops the range at $56,855 and includes all upgrades from the Technology pack plus extras like a blind-spot warning system, adaptive cruise control, and a system that brakes in case of an imminent collision. Only minor issue is three of the center caps have very small hairline cracks on the emblem cover as seen on the closeup pics.

These wheels have the distinctive curved lips that get a lot of compliments and attention.

I received an "authorized buy back notice" from my friendly Acura/Suburu dealer today:yuck:

They will buy back your 2000-2008 Acura for FULL MSRP, based on NADA car guide.

It goes on to say, "obviously,your current vehecle must be in safe working condition, normal wear and tear and free of paint and collision damage. The only deductions will be made for mileage ( .10-.65 depending on model and condition-minimum 15,000 miles/model year) We don't want to scrutinize every aspect of your trade.:what:

We only want to sell you a new car for a payment less then you ever thought possible. LMAO

I figure I have a 2005 tl with 92,350 miles and she's clean:toocool: But I'm sure I'll fall into the .65 deduction range.

Let's see I'm 17,350 over the "average" miles, so that's a $11,277.50 deduction. I think I paid around 34,000 Back in Jan, 05.... SOOOOO ya think I can get $22,722.5 from a dealer????:whyme: Me neither

FS: Black Enkei RPF1's

I have a set of Black Enkei RPF1's 17 x 8.5 with an offset of 30
5 x 114.3. They come with the Enkei Racing Center Caps and Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires (245/40/17) all around with 80% thread left on all of them.

These tires are sticky as hell and the wheels are really light weight (16 lbs each). It is a huge change in the driving experience!

I love these wheels and the fatty tires, but I just don't have the storage space in my apartment to store these for the winter.

These are the wheels from Dr_Brian510 and two wheels have slight bends. I got them checked out by my friend that works at a tire shop and there are no leaks, it is a purely cosmetic issue.

FS: 2005-2007 Powdercoated RL Calipers w/Akebono ceramic pads - $500

I originally planned on using these for my Acura Legend BBK, but these won't fit under my rims w/out a serious spacer kit, I'm selling them and moving in another direction.

Powdered and cleared.

The pads are BRAND NEW, and the calipers have not been mounted since the powdercoat. There are some light scratches, but nothing that will be visible when on the car. Complete caliper assembly, as in, if you have an RL, you can unbolt your mounting bolts, unhook your lines, and bolt these right in.

You can check me out (feedback rating) over on forums.acuralegend.org and on acura-legend.com. The guys and girls there can vouch for me.

I'm pretty firm on the price. I have over $700 in these calipers and pads, so I'm not inclined to go any lower than what I'm asking.

And my username is the same on the aforementioned forums.

Lately, I've been pondering the idea of getting another car in addition to my TL-S. My budget is 50-60k range. Although I thought about the idea of spending anther 20k out of my budget and get the Nissan GTR. But I think it'll be a bit irresponsible. So far I looked into a few but need some comments on

nissan gtr (expensive, over budget)
bmw 335i (hpfp)
audi s4 (love the car but kinda pointless to get another sedan)
Chevrolet Camaro (not sure if i'll like muscle)
bmw 328i convertible (no hpfp but it's kinda slow)
audi s5 (prefer the V6T over the V8)
benz e350 coupe (feel slow)
nissan 370z (too small, i'm 5'11 and 225 lbs)
porsche cayman (same as above)
bmw m3 (a bit over budget, seems to be more of a track car than a road car. Dont wanna be at the gas station every 3 days)

Any comments on these cars or any other cars you wanna suggest?

So this pass weekend I was out watching the games with a bunch of buddies, some are married with kids other still single and the sex and marriage talk came up.

John a single guy ask another guy Kevin, so how's your sex life since you been married for like 10 years. Kevin response shock me. He said his s*x life with his wife suck.

He's a nice guys helping anyone who ask him and his wife to me is also very nice. Anyone saw them you would say they are a very nice couple and would rarely see them fight.

He said sex is a very important thing to him but not so for his wife. He said he's lucky if he can do it once a month. He said what he even ask his wife what happen if we never have sex again .. she said she has no problem with that. He said beside the sex issue, she's the perfect wife. They have three kids and they both in their mid-30s. They both have their tube tide, so he does not understand it. They did like crazy before marriage and it just shrinking by the years.

So the question is why is the wife act like that and expect the guys not to stray and have a little on the side. Everything else is perfect except sex. Should the guy just man up and stick it out for the sake of their kids?

I am on the fence so I really don't know what to think? I do not think his wife should hold out like that and things could turn ugly ...

Leather Care

Just wondering what you guys use to keep your leather seats in good shape. We get very dry winters in Ontario, and I'm worried about some of the problems I've heard with Honda/Acura leather cracking/tearing (especially the perforated sections of the seat). Any suggest would be helpful. Thanks.

Btw, this is my first posted. Just joined the boards after buying a WDP 07 TL NAVI. I had a 300M Special prior to the Acura. Anyhow, see you on the boards.
