TL vs. G37 vs. TSX V6 vs. IS350 vs. GS350
Since the last post about possible future cars for me to buy was vague and had such a variation in types of cars, here's a better comparison. Out of these cars, what would you buy based on aspects such as technology, reliability, quality, fun to drive, comfort, cost for maintenance and repairs, interior quality and room, etc.. Yes manual transmissions are a plus on the fun side and I don't mind driving a manual every day.
4th Gen Acura TL
4th Gen Infiniti G37
2nd Gen Acura TSX V6
2nd Gen Lexus IS350
3rd Gen Lexus GS350
4th Gen Acura TL
4th Gen Infiniti G37
2nd Gen Acura TSX V6
2nd Gen Lexus IS350
3rd Gen Lexus GS350

Which generation is the current GS? If it's 3rd, go for GS. It's a very good car.
Take those Acura out of the options.
GS>G>IS
I would get a brand new WRX though.

WRX isn't in the same segment, IMO.
OP, go drive them all and see what fits you the best.

Drive them all then see which one you like the most. All those cars drive quite differently so it's impossible to recommend one specifically without knowing your specific driving preferences. I would get the 1.G37 2. Tsx 3. Is350

Go with the GS. Out of all the older cars, it managed to not look completely dated by the next gen. & they're very reliable throughout the generations. Drive nice, still comfortable, & can catch kiddies in their V6 pony cars well off guard.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Looks like a lightly used 4G GS can be had with AWD for about $35K. Seems reasonable to me.

Also, after reading your last post, I think you're spending waaaay too much money on a car at your age. It's awesome your education is taken care of with scholarships (congrats!), etc... but if you're as smart as you say you are, you'd realize it's a bad idea to spend $30k-$35k on a car when you're in college.
Spend less ($15k-$20k), get a nice car from the 2006-2010 time frame, and invest the rest. I won't lie, it's kind of cool bringing chicks back to your dorm in a $30k+ car at 19 y/o. But you know what's cooler? Picking up chicks in a nice car and bringing them back to YOUR own place.
It sounds like you're in a good spot in life so far... so take advantage of that and be smart with your money...

Infiniti G37 would get my vote. But, I'd also suggest looking at the Audi A5 as well.

set your priorities first then the choice will be obvious.
All of them are similar but very different
If you care about driving, G37 6mt
If you care about brand, GS350
If you care about MPG, TL
If you care about looks, anything but TL
If you care about service, GS350
If you care about Tech, they are all very similar
If you care about reliability, they are all very similar
if you care about space, TL because it is a boat
it is not that hard to choose if you know what you want in a car.

If you don't care about the tight back seat, my vote is the IS350 AWD (2011+). Handles great, tons of power, fun little car feel, lots of good tech, etc.
If you prefer a bigger car the 4G TL is a solid choice, but most people will tell you to pick a GS350 over the TL. I personally don't care much for the looks of either car and both are too big for my taste.

Thanks for all the suggestions (especially those who explained why). I didn't have time this week to check AZ or I would have replied sooner. I went and checked out a 2012 TL SH-AWD 6MT and a 2011 G37X Sport 6MT tonight. Really liked the room in the TL. The G was more fun to drive, looks a lot better, and has better audio and a touch navi vs the TL's non touch navi but the rear seat head room is nonexistent in the G. I'm going to look at some other options over the next couple weeks.

My daughters 2011 g37x coupe has not given her a bit of trouble in the 1.5 years she has owned it. It also runs really well (its fast). For a college car however, I would probably recommend looking for a low mileage base 07 or 08 TL that is one owner and been properly maintained. A car like this would probably be in the mid teens, and you could save the rest of your cash for other things. Our TL is far and away the most dependable car we have ever owned, looks good, and runs decent (not fast). Take your time looking for a car, as the best deals always come to those who are patient enough to wait.
