So my wife's GLK needed an oil change...
......and then I figured why not just change the car...it looks like I'm back in the Acura family once again!
...And while we were at it, we added an extra special passenger to the family too!
I'd like to introduce the AZ community to the newest member of the AZ family....Born 11/8/14. My first child!

Congratulations on the baby and on the new RDX. Nice license plate. Did you have problems with the GLK 350?

I didn't have any problems with the GLK at all. My wife actually liked it a LOT. The only reason why I didn't extend the lease or get it again was for two reasons - 1 being it's a lot more expensive a lease now (over $150 more than I'm paying for it now), and the more recent issue being, we used this car to take the baby from the hospital home. With the car seat in place, no adult passenger can sit in the front seat - there's next to no room for your legs without them pushing up against the dash. When I realized this, I was hoping the RDX would be better, but knew that the RDX had a bit more rear seat room compared to the GLK - and it does. I wouldn't say the front seat comfort is superb, but the way you see the seat in the pic I posted with the car seat, I sat in the passenger seat, and my knees were about 2" away from the dash. It wasn't the ideal comfort I would expect, but then again I wouldn't be in the passenger seat if I'm in the car.
On the RDX, I had an '08, and my wife and I thought it was pretty good. Had no problems with that one either. Throttle response was a little punchy because of brief turbo lag, but that's my only complaint on the old one. My only brief nitpicks with this RDX: You need to get the Tech package to get the power liftgate...REALLY?!? Come on, Acura! It forced me to get the navigation, something which I felt I didn't need anymore in my cars, considering I use my phone for any GPS needs these days. There isn't much in terms of safety tech like some of it's competitors (lane departure warning, blind spot monitor, forward collision warning, etc), but that doesn't bother me really...I don't have it now, don't need it anyway. Audio system is good, but no HD radio. My wife doesn't care, but I do listen to HD channels in my Mini when driving it. No cargo cover anymore either? Had to buy it as an accessory, when my '08 had it standard.
I only drove it home from work, my wife hasn't driven it yet either, so I can't comment much more on it. I wouldn't say it's the best at anything, but it's just good at most things.

the good news is once your baby is in a rear facing seat and not a bucket seat, there will be more room. We have a few radian car seats and they sit at a 45* angle when rear facing and the front seat was way too far up. So we bought this Car Seat Angle Adjuster, Radian Angle Adjuster | Diono which changes the angle and gives ample room up front. Something to keep in mind.
