I've put out feelers to the vendors about red seat belts. One has already responded and said he can do them. He's working up pricing now.

I was just reading more about the headers. You've got to take off the fuse box and empty the oil (because it's a Z51)....WTF.

After thinking about the seat belts, I'm not going to do it unless they're GM certified. If I'm ever involved in an accident and they aren't OEM seat belts, I've just nullified the warranty.

I'm considering this.....what do you think?

Guys,

I trimmed the Carbon Fiber side skirts with 1/4 inch red pinstripping. It's removable, but just a thought.

What is your opinion?

Steven, can you do a side by side pic with and without the pinstripe?

Looking at the pic you posted,i prefer it without the stripe. Not that the stripe looks bad but without, it looks cleaner, personal opinion.

The trim would look better with headers and an exhaust.

I wouldn't, personally. If you do just the sides, then it looks a bit uneven with the front splitter. But, with the way GM designed the front splitter, it would look a bit tacky to do it to match.

Plus that most automakers usually have those pieces in black to help create the design they want by hiding them, whilst still remaining effective. If you pinstripe them with the red, it exposes them & can alter the look a bit.

Thanks for the side by side, now i am certain that i prefer it without the pinstripe.
It highlights the side skirt too much, without the stripe the skirt blends seamlessly with the profile of the car

More importantly, how do you feel about it?

It seems like a unanimous "no". I was going to also try it to the front splitter too, but I ran out of pinstripping.

I like the stripe too...it makes it look more finished, ties the color in to make it look like it belongs and helps to define the added aggressive line. Without it, you could almost think it could be a home depot lip with CF wrap on it.

I say leave it...if you change your mind in a few months, pull it.

I got more pinstripping today. I'll add it to the front splitter and post pictures.

You should do some stainless steel pinstriping that goes underneath the car and ends in the back in four circles.

You know, that pinstriping that people do that starts like by the cats and goes to the back of the car, but is under the car. Can't remember who makes it though.

That pin striping is pretty cool.

I also like the 8 pin stripes that come off the engine and connect to those other pinstripes under the car. Those pinstripes sound great.
