I will say a few things about why I bought a C6 Convertible and why it was the clear winner for me. 1st and foremost Is the weight. The C6 Vette was designed as a Vert’ before it was a coupe and is not an afterthought like most verts. There is no need for heavy extra bracing and supports to compensate for the lack of a solid roof. How can anyone not love a vert’ that can pull 1g on the skid pad? 2nd, was the look with the top down; it’s just a sexy beast with the top down. Even after 3.5 yrs of ownership, it still amazes me how I still get several compliments on it anytime I take It out. 3rd, is the power and the sound. Vette guys call it “perm-a-grin” when you mash the throttle. With the top down, the grin gets even wider. There is nothing like top down, rowing through the gears, LS roaring fun. Even with the new C7 coming out, I don’t want to get rid of the thing…..
