Drove my car into a lakebed

...good thing it was dry. :parrot:

Figured I'd shared this post with you guys here too even though (it has an Acura in it!)

Spend this weekend with a few friends performing some drift shenanigans for MClub.la on the open lake bed; suffice to say that it was an extremely fun day. We did a few drag races with cones we brought, figure 8's, donuts, and some scary 80mph+ drifts. I think the high speed drifts was what chunk'd up my Continental ExtremeContacts that were pretty much new...but it was all worth it! Definitely planning to go back again!

We had an E36 M3, M Coupe, 2 E46 M3's, 330, Genesis V6, and an Integra. :thumbsup2:

Anyway, here are the pics. Links are to cool little GIF animations courtesy of Scott Chu!

Scott's Genesis GIF [4.1mb]: http://upload.scottchu.com/Lakebed/genesis_drift.gif

The aftermath.

A little FWD e-brake action.

We did a couple 1/4 mile runs too.

Collecting cones at the end of the day.

Thanks for looking!

Great shots! Love the M3 with the fat tires . The fourth pic of the Genesis makes it look like it has matte paint...pretty cool, even though it's just dust

You'll be finding that fine ground dust for YEARS to come...no thank you.

Nice shots though.

I was about to say: you'll be reminded of this day for many many car washes.

If its fun who cares. Cars that never get dirty are cars that arent being used they way they should be (or the owners are afraid to )

That looks like an AWESOME time...

However, that looks like something more suited for a rental Crown Victora or Charger

PS. Don't forget to change your air filter...
