Acura RL Calipers

Category: Brakes
Price: $250
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (State/Prov/Terr): CA
Item Condition: Used

I am selling a front set of RL calipers from my personal set. Keep in mind that they are in used condition and as a result will be a bit dirty whether it be brake fluid or dirt as a result of being removed from a vehicle that was driven. This however has no effect on the performance of the calipers themselves and it is strongly suggested that the brake pads be changed as the ones that come with these do not suffice.

Non-Negotiable Price: $250
Non-Negotiable Shipped: Yes, and if interested, send me a messsage
Location: Look up zip code 91803

In regards to the brackets from Fastbrakes,

Let me tell you about my experience. I initially purchased my first set of brackets from Fastbrakes, and then one day, the calipers literally fell off the bracket which resulted in damaging the inner barrels of my C2's. Come to find out upon taking off the calipers, the material used for them was inferior. I've been running brackets from another company for several years now and have had no problems. Ever since then I stay weary of Fast Brakes and share my experience with their product.

Earlier this year, I also was involved in an another accident, which also had RL calipers and the another companies brackets. The collision was square on the front passenger side wheel well. To emphasize the impact, it was strong enough to launch the vehicle into a curb and bend the lower control arm. After it had all been said and done, the bracket had still held firmly in place, something that I don't believe would have been the case had I used the bracket from Fast Brakes.

Being that this is a social group, I am merely sharing my experiences with the enthusiasts here and they can take from it what they want, whether that be not using a certain vendor or company. That decision is theirs to make

From what I've read from more than one individual is that the brackets also do have fitment issues. To add to that, Fastbrakes has horrible customer service. I'd gladly pay for a product with no fitment issues, better quality, and excellent customer service.

Great information. Hope nothing serious happened to you (or any passengers) in that accident. Which brackets were the ones that survived the accident?

I think I saw your accord last time in that plaza by SG and las tunas. Recognized the brakes.

I also have available for purchase with these calipers the brackets for them. They are brand new and will work on the TL and TSX. The package price would be $425 shipped.

I had talked to him for a little bit about buying those brackets. He said they were located out in Cali somewhere, I came across their site randomly after that. I will see if I can find it again and post the link on here

Interested in the whole package. Do I need anything else to install on my 07 Base TL? I'll have Type S wheels.

They were not made by NVA-AV6 and the brackets were fabricated by a small company in California. Since they are new, their warranty is still valid. Should having the brackets listed in this thread, please let me know so they can be removed.

Thanks.

I was thinking faster than I could type. What I originally intended to say was if having the brackets listed poses a problem, then I'd be happy to remove them from this listing.
