Going to have to start looking into hotel pricing soon to at least get an idea of how much it's going to be and what are the best places close by to us. We have a decent number at the moment...but there's still room for way more people. I also have 4 or 5 cars (maybe more by meet time) that aren't on Azine that will be attending as well who drive TLs/TSXs.

Whats up guys? long time no see! Sorry I've been off the treads for a while, been crazy busy. As some might know my wife Anna and I had our first baby a month ago. I know im a father now, crazy right? Anyways...I would love to make it down for this meet. I'll hit up these fellas from the Sac area so maybe they will come too.

I helped hosted a meet in my area and was able to rent/reserve out a pavilion at a park for $120. The price was small for a pretty decent turnout. So if there's a place like that near Pismo where we can rent/reserve that would probably be best.

I always hear great things about 2010 Acurafest and this is a great idea! Because even if we can get people to pitch in like 20$ at the minimum, we can try and rent out a spot that would be good to accommodate all the cars and maybe even a bigger venue with more space depending on how many people we can get to invest you know? Cause 120$ ain't bad at all to rent out a pavilion and be guaranteed spots.
Now, if we get at least 50 cars and 20$ a pop from everybody thats 1k right there which I'm sure can go toward a place that will be big enough if need be.
But the thing is, I couldn't find any park big enough to accommodate 20+ cars on Google maps. Although I was trying to find parks very near the beach. In 2008 Acurazine did it in Oceano park but those are street side parking. If anyone near Pismo can chime in on possible places, that would give us a start on calling up the venue to see if we can reserve a spot. But from my arm chair I haven't been able to find an ideal spot for us all.
Not really, I'll just give them a call and ask what the rate is to rent the park out and see from there. That way, we'll at least have a number in mind.
Everyone around the same area should meet up before the meet so we can roll up in groups and just in case no ones gets lost lol. I would get lost if it wasn't for my nav lol.
Not complicated at all. In fact, it makes it easier because reserving the area rules out the public crowd and thus we exclusively hold the area for that day.
I just called SLO County Parks. Information on Oceano Community Park is as follow:
- $99 for day use
- Maximum capacity is 70 people
- No need to be residence of SLO to reserve
- Can reserve over the phone
- Reservation includes exclusivity on bench seats and BBQ area
- From what I was told, no restriction on certain days to reserve as long as it's paid for. Basically first paid first serve on reservation.
If people don't mind parking on the side streets then this is an option:

I honestly just want to get some AZine users together, so I can deal with that set up.
Let's set our sites higher though in the mean time. Maybe make another call and ask them how often that park gets rented out and what parking is like; if it would even accommodate all our cars.

I decided to hold on to the car a little longer. buying a new fender for the driver side tomorrow since most of you know that it was "mangled" in the picture. plus there will be a color change by the time of the meet help me decide on a color im stuck between Malbec black like on the infiniti's or a dark smoke beige.. coilovers will be going on when i decide to stop being lazy and go outside to put them on. (SPRINGs will be for sale.)

For some strange reason I thought this was at the end of May and thank goodness it's not because with a 2nd baby due first week of June I probably wouldn't be able to come if it was in May.

This is the time to at least start with spreading the word around to other members and get a buz going so people are aware.
Because now we know: Acurafest is in the works.
It'll also be easier once we get more feedback from more members cause we need to have a solid number hopefully 40+ cars and thats at the least so yea...

I should be a go for this event maybe the sactown area locals would be down to drive down together, i'm off at 5PM btw ? is the plan to drive down on the 24th and check-in into the hotel and have the event on the 25th?
