So Powerful That it Crashed Computer
But, wow...
Source: Koenigsegg Agera One:1 power output breaks computer - Motoring Research
The first production Koenigsegg Agera One:1 supercar has been delivered in Germany – but only after its incredible 1341hp power output crashed the computers used to register it.
When converted to Germany’s favoured kilowatts unit, the Agera One:1 produces 1000kw. The country’s national vehicle registration computer can, however, accept three-figure power outputs: the original designers never expected a car producing more than 999kw to be sold.
The Koenigsegg thus foiled the registration computer and was unable to be registered until technicians had fixed it…
The news will be savoured by the Swedish firm, which created the One:1 to be the world’s first car with a one-to-one power to weight ratio – it weighs 1341kg and produces 1341hp.
Such figures are expected to give it a top speed of nearly 280mph and acceleration is likely to be restricted only by the tyres’ ability to deliver all this power to the ground. 0-248mph is said to take 20 seconds, giving a flavour of how potent the new Agera One:1 is.
Now the Koenigsegg Agera One:1 is officially on the road in Germany, hopefully independent testing will take place to verify just how fast the new megacar is.
It remains to be seen whether the Agera One:1 will break the DVLA’s registration computer too – question is, how long will we have to wait until we find out?

From Volvo:
The race is held in order to test Volvo Trucks’ new gearbox I-Shift Dual Clutch, which is based on sports car technology. Since Tiff Needell has never driven a truck before, he first takes the Volvo FH out for a few test laps. And then: it’s on!

Koenigsegg Aiming for 'Ring Record
From here: Koenigsegg Aiming For Nürburgring Production Car Lap Record--Not Once, But Twice
The fastest production car around the Nürburgring, at least officially, is Porsche’s 918 Spyder, which late last year was driven around the 12.9 miles of the Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 6:57. Shortly after, McLaren stated that its P1 lapped the ‘Ring in under seven minutes but refused to give an official time, perhaps because it didn’t want to delve deeper into the somewhat dangerous spitting contest.
Now Koenigsegg, maker of the world’s most powerful car, says it fully intends to set a new production record, first with its 1,160-horsepower Agera R and then again with the lighter and more aerodynamically-honed 1,341-hp One:1. The information was revealed to Car and Driver by Koengisegg founder Christian von Koenigsegg, who conceded that the setting of Nürburgring lap times has become one of the ways makers of performance cars prove themselves.
Koenigsegg was seen testing its Agera R at the Nürburgring earlier this year but the car ended up crashing. According to von Koenigsegg, the team will be back in 2015 for its record attempt. At this point, it’s not clear whether the firm’s official test driver Robert Serwanski will hop behind the wheel for the attempt or whether they’ll hire a ringer.
How fast a time can we expect? Insiders have said a figure “in the 6:30s” is a realistic target.
