ZDX OEM 20's black?
Anyone out there have a Black ZDX with the OEM 20" accessory wheel powder coated black? I have a 2010 with these wheels and the previous owner curbed them. I am having them refinished in a few weeks and have 2 options that I'm really torn on:
1. Refinish to the black chrome as they are now.
2. Powder coat them a satin or gloss black.
I really like the black out look, but have no idea how these exact wheels might look in black on a black ZDX. I have no intention of changing wheels because I love the Z06 type style of these. If anyone has these in black on their car, even if the car is not black, please show me some pics.
If not I'll decide and post pics if I go the dark route...

Yeah but your car is white and white cars should automatically have black rims because they look great. I'm just concerned it will be too black and not the look I was hoping for. I'll search the pics, I've been trying to locate pics for weeks now and have not found a thing. Thanks-

lime green/hot pink...?
Dubbl1, black on black will always work I personally love black chrome but if your looking to fix them/give your ZDX a different look I say why not! The only way those wheels could look bad is if you painted them lime green or something...

So I went to the dark side and had my 20" rims powder coated satin black. I still love the look of the black chrome, but something about a blacked out car is nice. Next is going to be blacking out the front grille and then smoking the tail lights.
On a side note, anyone who wants this or other work done on their wheels I used Wheels America in Elk Grove, IL. Paul is who I worked with and he was awesome. Gave me a great deal and went above and beyond just powder coating. They painted my center caps to match seeing they can't be powder coated and removed the Acura logo per my request so that stayed chrome. He also painted my calipers flat black with high temp paint I provided just to clean them up. All in all very happy with the service and quality. Turn around was 7 hours. I dropped the car off at 9am and picked it up the same day at 4 pm, that is awesome!

i wanted to black out tail lights too but didn't do it because of safety reasons. Filament bulbs in blacked out tail lights are barely visible. Hoping to see LED tails in 2013 refresh, get them and black them out

I disagree, I was surprised on how visible they were. At night you can barely tell it's tinted and during the day the red is very bright. Plus if you have the spoiler there is an LED brake light in there which I did not tint. I think it also depends on how it is done. My buddy did this for me and he takes clear coat and adds black paint to make his own tint. Applies like 6 coats, wet sands and then buffs.
