Question Advance Struts Replacement

hello all!

Recently i noticed that my rear passenger strut started leaking so i need to replace it ASAP. Since this is a pricey strut, can i just replace the faulty one or is it recommendable to replace them in pair? 60k miles.

Thanks in advance!

What year is your ZDX? Because there is a warranty extension on the 2010-2012 ZDX front and rear active dampers.

MOST of the time, Honda shares parts across the lineup.
does the ZDX have normal shocks(non-ids)?

If the IDX shock failed, you only have to replace one. If they are normal shocks, I would just replace both.

hmmmmm i could save a few bucks if i only buy one. but i think i will be replacing both since i'm thinking to sell the ZDX. and keep the one that's good for a future occasion. thanks for the suggestion.

I really dont like the price on the struts. in total it would be like 2000-2500$. just thinking that it could happen again really demotivates me. :/

I totally understand. My MDX also has the ADS shocks and they scare me as well. The good news however is that you can install non-ADS shocks and it won't affect anything except maybe a slightly softer ride for a fraction of the cost.
