I think these are the perfect offset and tire size for our cars...

I took a good profile pic from my office.... The wheels are 20x10 40mm offset and 20x8.5 with 35mm offset. The tires are 275/30/20 rear and 245/35/20 front. I have seen a lot of people running questionable offsets and tire sizes as of late and wanted to post this so people could have a reference point.

IMO, if you run staggered wheels/tires on a FWD/all wheel steer vehicle you are adversely effecting the driving dynamics of your car for the sake of "looking cool". Also, you cannot rotate your tires, which costs you more money in the long run.

So how do you think 20x8.5 +35et would look under the rear fender?

It would not sit as flush and it would look much narrower. you have to run staggered to accommodate the lines of the car.

Or wheel spacers, if using same width front and rear tires.

May have to go with spacers. Not too keen on the idea of not being able to rotate the tires.. So, if my math is right, that would mean 5mm spacers in the rear right?

Based on 20x10+40mm and 20x8.5+35mm the difference is 14mm on the outside of the rim.

You can use the offset calculator here:

Spot on, the rear wants to hang on and the front gives out sooner under hard driving. Makes for severe understeer and a car that won't respond the way It was designed to. To increase handling, you got to make sure the function is primary, especially since you are IN the car , lol. best thing to do is to lower the offset and widen the tract with a square setup of 255 tires with an aggressive compound. Thats the right way to modify a fwd or awd vehicle. Stagger is basically for looks, but anybody who is not a layman would say why is there a rwd setup on a fwd vehicle? Like putting a stick shift knob on an auto trans vehicle...

LOL, I forgot my 200hp monster 4cyl is a track beast. All kidding aside I drive my car aggressively, very agressively, and it pushes far less in the turns that it did with stock tires/wheels. As a matter of fact the 4 wheel steering works great and the car handles surprisingly well. Now if you want a car that pull pull 1.02 g on the skid pad, spend more than $100K and buy a porsche. These Acuras a grocery getters for Christ's sake, be real. Anyone trying to make it a performance car is wannabe anyhow. It is not a sports car. You guys are funny.
