Transmission Problems

So for the past couple of weeks, i have been noticing that my transmission does like a shutter or jerk when coming to a complete stop or accelerating from a stop. It also has been shuttering in the 20-40s. The transmission has been rebuilt before so I thought maybe it's the fluid, got it changed yesterday and now the car running worse than before... coming to a stop the car jerks even harder and when pulling the car revs then jerks hard... I'm new to all this so if anyone can help that would be great. thanks in advance.

Sounds like your transmission is slipping, if you're still under warranty from the shop you had your transmission rebuilt from have them check it out. You should get it looked at asap, wouldn't want to get stranded on the road.

pull solenoids off and clean them and then reinstall. Only use brake cleaner on them. Also what fluid did you use?

You can clean the solenoids but if you have clogged screens then your transmission is shot anyway, its only a matter of time until you are left on the road with a dead car.

Your best bet is to stop driving the car now and start saving up for a transmission rebuild or an AV6 swap. Look in the 2G threads on the AV6 swap info.

Got my car back Monday its better, but second gear takes awhile to get into. Also the Drive indicator (D) was blinking green. Like musiclevelz5 said its probably a matter of time before its shot... im taking it back Friday to see how much it would cost to put in the accord transmission

D light blinking means there is a problem with the trans aka a check transmission light! The shop should be fixing it under the warranty!

Transmission issues

I have a 2006 Acura TL with an automatic transmission with 180,000 miles. I was driving and was only able to go as far a 3rd gear. when this happened the gear indicator light in my dash for drive (D) was off. Also when i put it in "manual" mode I could not down shift or up shift while driving, it only went as far as 3rd gear. Is the gear indicator light which goes off a sign of a transmission problem or an electronics issue. This only happened 3 times recently. Also my check engine light came on twice about 2 weeks ago and just thought it was an emissions issue so I did not think anything of it. Was the check engine light a warning that a transmission problem is looming?
