2005 Acura TL

Got a TL that the trunk won't open except by the emergency release in the back seat opening.. I've checked the glovebox valet switch, continuity is good but no voltage coming to it.. Tech manual says fuse number 8 under dash is the circuit that controls the trunk along with the power door locks.. The power door locks work.. No sound at all when the trunk button is pushed.. My question is, is there any good tech manuals that give a step by step procedure for testing the trunk circuit?

I called the nearest Acura dealer, the service manager told me he didn't think there was a fuse in that circuit.. Never heard of that..

Yes, the dash button doesn't make any sound when pressed.. The remote doesn't work either.. With no voltage on the glovebox switch it's kind of got me puzzled.. I would figure that the glovebox switch would be what powers the switch on the dash..

My 04 TL is experiencing the same issue, I have replaced the release switch on the dash. Thinking this was the issue because i didn't feel any resistance. I reached through the trunk to open and didn't see any thing visibly wrong with the locking part of the latch. I am about to order the locking mech, replace it and will follow up when it arrives.

I had this happen to my 07 TL not long ago. I freaked out as I was in the middle of repairs. I realized I had opened the trunk earlier and hadn't closed it properly...........try that?

the TL has door sensors,a hood sensor, and a trunk sensor.
all sensors need to be working in order to lock the door, and I think open the trunk. I would start there
