falling boot was my fault.
you'll have more of an issue with getting the boot to fit properly.
what i did was file the inner part of the ring down a bit till it fit. except i filed a little too much on my last fitting. if you get it right it won't fall.
to fix it... just find a way to increase the size of the inner ring or the bolt/stud from the shifter.

The shift knob is made of out aluminum... It essentially absorbs heat/cold air.
In the sun and humidity... the knob can actually "hurt" you. It'll burn for the moments you first lay your hand on it! But leaving a cloth over it will help the knob not be so hot.
In the cold weather the knob too gets cold. It'll feel like it's made of ice! But since it is made out of aluminum, leaving your hand on it for say half a minute straight will warm it up.
Aside from that flaw... it's a great shift knob! Pair it with a short shifter, shifter bushings, SS cables, Synchro-Mesh-Friction-Modified tranny fluid and you're golden! I did the zip-tie mod with the synchro mesh and it is still great! I'm glad I made the switch.

Give this one a try.. It's clean, not too big and fits with the "carbon-like trim" in TL-S interior.

ehh looks a bit cheap to me and the CF pattern probably doesnt match the oem trim. I prefer the stock shifter, havent been able to find something besides the Maven spun knob that is better.

Racer
I slapped some di-noc on the cap. It's actually a smoked, clear plastic with RAZO embossed. You can see the nut holding it onto the shifter. It actually wasn't bad, but yes, a nickel or aluminum cap with the pattern would've been nicest.

i love the look and the weight but i do wish it sat a little lower. it isnt any higher than the stock knob though.
