seal above driver headlight coming loose

hi guys,

having an issue with the rubber seal that sits above the driver headlight becoming loose at higher speeds.
diagram is here:

part is 30 (or so i think) (link: OEM Acura TL SEDAN 2003 HOOD parts)

bought a new bulkhead to ensure i could hold down the seals properly, and this one is coming loose. however the oem parts site doesn't seem to have this item.

is it possible there's some sort of clip or something missing? passenger side headlight seal does not act up like this.

thanks.

hmm per 20-111 of the service manual, maybe the driver side cushion is too high or something.

will look into this and get back to you guys tomorrow.

edit: update: yes it seems the driver side cushion is different (not oem). looks generic actually since it has this indent near the centre of the top (missing on the other 3 hood cushions).

hopefully ordering one will do the trick.

Part 30 is not a rubber seal but rather the metal bar underneath the headlight used to attach it to the body

upset that this generic cushion got in the car, to be honest.

sometimes things like this don't make a difference but it looks really different from the others, thereby affecting the height it should be sitting at.
i assume sitting higher would cause something like this to occur?

honda's art is usually great in illustrating the actual part, and in this case i do not think the cushion should have a rounded dent in the centre top?
edit: imma get two just to be sure (symmetry and shit)

after looking at some pics on the forums here via google, seems i'll only need one for the driver's side (other side looks fine).
hope this works. strange issue.

If it's the rubber strip that sits directly above the headlight, mine did the same thing (also driver's side). Would flop around in the wind when I drove. I just got some weather stripping adhesive and glued it back down.
