I could...but I made mistakes since it was my first time doing this.

It's like 80% good.

But it's not perfect.

When I get some time I'll take it back off and work on it again because I want it glossy.

Yeah...a little protection thanks to Four Star Spray Wax.

I got a Porter Cable on it's way to my house on Tuesday I just bought.

So I can finally take care of her...

Been neglected for so many years...

C'mon...stop being sooo shy!

There are tons of people with stock rides who cruise out!

Nobody cares about that stuff...just a Meet & Greet...not a car show!!

I was like that the first time around!

Kevin....tell this guy ^^^ that the meets are chill and he should come out in his Anthracite CLS!!!

San Leandro Color is the spot...

I've never used the PC myself so I don't know what I am doing.

I was going to grab some samples from Denzil @ The Meet.

Since I have no product myself.

But...we'll have to see.

If you want to cruise over early no problemo...

I'll be out of town this weekend...so text me or I'll hit you up when I cruise back.

Sounds good man!

I'll be for sure washing up mine in the morning...

And adlx21 is going to hopefully come out of hiding and help me represent the 2nd Gen CL's...

Seriously though...my first meet was All-Cali and I couldn't have been more intimidating to see how sick everybody's car was.

But...I am so thankful I did because it was my icebreaker and I met so many friendly, cool people that I'm glad to call friends.

I even travel once a week to San Jose to hang out over some beers.

Good times...hope you'll cruise out to say whats up and hang out for a while.

It was for a little while then I switched it up.

I rotate like every other day to keep it fresh.

Hope the pics turn out good.

Just try to do something "different" than the standard...exercise creativity.

Just finished my first mini detail on the CL with my new Porter Cable Detailing Machine

Not too bad for my first time...

I can clearly see where my car was re-painted and what a terrible job they did.

I can see it in the paint's reflection...look between the rear bumper and the gas door.

The paint doesn't flow smooth...

Also...I found this! It's on both sides of my CL.

Paint overspray...mutha tuckerz!

Ah now I see it! Bummer man

Were you involved in an accident in the CL and that's why it was repainted? I hope you don't mind me asking.

No...actually I bought it like this.

It was rear-ended under the previous ownership.

I've had the car for just shy of two years.

First machine polish work on the car...seeing all these defects now.

I don't think the car might have never been detailed.

It was in storage for a few years before I got it.

Ah gotcha. That's totally understandable though. Honestly...we all have things wrong with our cars that we know are there but are barely visible to everybody else, and this is just one of them. Shit happens.

I've made a few mistakes with my car as well. I thought I looked it over well enough before I bought it, but I guess I didn't. The front bumper has touch up paint on it and is scuffed up under the headlight, the dashboard is cracked like hell, and there is some nasty shit where the trunk liner is where the water sits. Oh well

Live and learn.

I will def. be more cautious when buying from private party.

I got a cheap inspection.

Opting for a higher level inspection could have saved me thousands of dollars.

have a professional body shop wet sand those areas. The over spary should come out good.

the quarter panel may not come out good, cant tell by just looking at pictures. get the body shop's opinion on it first. it seems like there is some bondo involved in it.

I wish I could...how?...we live in Cali.

SF PoPo really hits hard on the front window tint and license plate.

Wouldn't last a week on the streets.

I bought it used so I am not sure when it exactly started deteriorating.

But...it's common for CF hoods to experience this because of the way UV light damages surfaces.

Without a metallic surface...nothing refracts light away...so it concentrates more under the surface.

That's what I learned from shops that deal with CF.

I have it sealed with Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection.

I don't think waxing can prevent that UV damage.

But more often...just not leaving your hood exposed to hot direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

I think the previous owner had it on his CL when his transmission blew.

The car sat for a long time outside neglected.

I'm going to be getting it re-cleared and try to get the best UV coating in the clear I can get.

I know a good shop in the region that has a lot of experience with CF materials.

They can tint CF, just do amazing things with their paint shop.

The owner has a Matte Black G35 with like Matte Black CF everything...
