Front lower control arm and ball joint

If I'm replacing the LCA, is this the ball joint I can replace while I'm there?

If this is the correct one then yes. Might as well replace ball joints and sway bar end links while you have everything apart.

Help. I'm on the verge of having the dealer replace the front driver ball joint for the 3rd time in 6 weeks. They thought the second might have been defective, so no charge for that one, and they say that the control arm, and its socket are fine, but don't know why, after 2,500 miles, I need another replacement.

Any thoughts. Is there a better, stronger one available. I have A-Spec struts, now with Koni Yellow dampers. The car has 180,000 miles, and the original ball joints were only replaced this spring. Nothing else has changed.

The only symptom is a front end clunking, that is not endlink/other part responsible for the noise.

You're going to be hard pressed to find a ball joint better than Honda OEM.

Are you just replacing ball joints because the car is clunking? Or are the joints actually bad?

Replaced the first after 180,000 miles because something was clunking and I was told it was bad. Clunking was back after 2 weeks, and replaced under defective part warranty. Clunking is back, and I'm wondering if it isn't something else: end links are new; swaybar bushings?; rebuilt strut a few months ago, but maybe I should take it apart to double check.

Thanks, but compliance bushings were changed a few months ago.

Upper ball joints? Try grabbing the wheel at 12 o clock and shaking it with the car on the ground.
