bad idler tensioner pulley

i have a 2006 acura tsx automatic. i have noticed a rough idle pretty much all the time. its not too rough but still annoying. when i am in park or nuetral you cant notice it too much, but you know its there. when i go into reverse or drive you can feel it pretty good in the steering wheel and under your feet. so i put the car in drive and put the emergency brake on to take a look at the engine while in the rough idle. i noticed that the tensioner underneath the power steering pump was making a slight rattling noise only in drive or reverse. so my question is would that tensioner cause my rough idle?

No. First you need to distinguish if its shaking or vibrating bc of the rough idle or is it just shaking during idle? Does your rev tach fluctuate, then the car vibrates because of the idling, it could be an ignition problem or something else. Now if you car just vibrates during idle and your rev tach is steady, could be a motor mount problem or a transmission mount. Your post seems ambiguous, is your car idling rough or does your car just vibrate during idle?; those are two different scenarios you need to specify more on.
