Overheating Issue Solved

I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but i have a 1996 Acura 3.2 TL and had overheating issues. took me a few days and a bunch of websites to figure out how simple it was.

at speed or with the ac on my car would not overheat, at idle with the a/c on, didn't overheat. but with the ac off the fans would not turn on at all. i found out that it was the temp control censor, cost me 28 bucks and about 15 mins or less when not looking for tools.

Here is the step by step to help anyone who has had this issue.

1. you'll need a small ratchet with a 10mm socket. extension is probably a good idea. and a large ratchet with a 3/4in deep socket.
2. remove your manifold shield, use the 10mm socket. super easy, 4 screws.
3. on the left front corner of the manifold you'll see a grey plug that looks like it's plugged into a spark plug. use the 3/4in deep socket (deep socket is needed to get over the plugin) unscrew that. its the temp fan sensor.
4. get a new one.
5. screw it in, you'll see coolant in the hole, plug the wire back in. check fluid, start car.
6. wham bam win.

i should have bled the line, it jumped idol. and ran rough for a second. then idled at 600rpm, when the temp gauge gets a little above halfway it will turn the fans on and cool it off.
i hope this is helpful to anyone with this issue.
