Any word on the blouch upgrade? Also the rdx map that you get with hondata is it tuned for 91? I live in RI and 93 at the pump everywhere and 110 is very easy from the pump for me to get also. I just need to know if i will need to go to the tuner and get the hondata map tweaked out for 93. I think a 20g would be a very nice non laggy upgrade for the k23... Thanks guys.

I've been in contact with hondata.. They need a RDX in California so they can verify the timing issue and hopefully uncover the logic in either a torque limiter or whatever it is thats pulling timing... Any Cali Rdx owners out there with a tune that could help us out??

Can't believe Hondata hasn't sorted the torque limit or overboost issue...thought that was addressed in the latest release of the FlashPro. Then again, guess they should be given a pass bc of such low demand for RDX upgrades and lack of test vehicles. I think we are all hopeful a breakthrough will happen and we'll start to see 300+whp from these baby haulers. (crosses fingers)

I wish they would just go off of the datalogs from vitviper but i can understand why they would need the actual vehicle with a custom tune. I am determined to stay on this.. i want over 300whp and that shouldn't be to hard with just bolt ons and a good tune. If i had the funds i'd pack up the family and go to cali for 2 weeks and let them figure it out on mine.. maybe one day. Im surprised they can not get the vehicle they built the original flash for.

thats great!! I will be ordering my flashpro and vit tune in a package. There person i talked to VIA email about the issue was Matt@hondata. Man i might even throw some cash to whoever is going to donate the vehicle for them to figure it out on. Maybe i will email matt back and ask about how long they would need the vehicle for. I just talked to the local shop i will be dynoing mine at and was looking for injectors.. He has a killer deal on some Fuel Injector clinic 775cc's for 330$ .. Tough choice downpipe or injectors haha maybe both. My rdx is in for a rude awakening haha.

I don't even remember what the issue was. Its been a year lol. For the most part flashpro works just fine. Couple small bugs but hondata hardly responds to anything we send them. Currently they're focused on the new turbo cvt civics. And they will be for a while. They don't seem to care about the rdx.

Cobb has it worked out for the cvt subarus. I really wish they would have a look at the hondas. They are always improving their software.

I always found this interesting. How do these companies tune cars with cvt's furthermore how do companies trust to put powerful v6's and 4 cylinder turbos on cvts? Hell lexus has a 550hp LS hybrid with monster torque hooked up to a cvt.

Also sucks that they don't respond to customers. All the top German tuners like apr and unitronic are very "in tune" with their customers.

have you seen the questions they get asked? its an entry level platform and they get the dumbest people on the planet asking the dumbest questions ever...
i get why they don't respond to every one.

factory ecu modification is not the easiest thing to do some fixes are better then no fixes. that said i still want more fixes too!!!

Hahahahahah I love your response. "Dumbest people on the planet asking the dumbest questions ever" that is quite good lol. You think apr and unitronic don't get stupid questions either? Some of the stuff you read (and stuff I thought about asking when I first got into cars) on the german forums will make you laugh out loud.

No but I get it. The thing is though, with the german tuners, the owners of those companies are usually enthusists themselves. And German brands share one motor over many cars (how many have the 2.0t, like 20 models. Whereas Acura screwed us and gave us the only turbo they ever made for north america and put it in one car. But I also see hondatas issue. The rdx is a relative unicorn and if I owned the company, I would also focus on the bread and butter econobox civics. But damn the 2.3t is a seriously slick engine, very modern for its' time and a clean DOHC design.

With that said, focussing on one, doesn't mean that I would provide a frankly half-assed tune. And then not come back and try to fix it.

what we have now is pretty good compared to what we had at the initial offering. no real control over timing or boost and now we can turn off TQ management and control boost and timing to about 95% it does get a little wonky once in a while

I guess it is better than nothing at all ehich is what I would expect for such a low volume model driven primarily by middle aged asian woman (no offense intended)

Damn!!!! LOl! Well my wife is asian; however, I was the one doing the research for her when we got the RDX back then. I was looking for a car that I could possible mess with later after she upgraded. But, most of the RDX driver's here in Oklahoma are young-to-geriatric white women.

Haha sorry about that! Here asians are 99.9% of the time driving lexus, toyota, honda, nissan, infiniti, or acura. The white population will drive anything with preference to american vehicles. While 75% of the middle eastern people will drive BMW's, Mercedes, lexus, audi, porsche, infiniti and rarely Acura. This is just my personal observation while on the road. No offense or racism intended.

Hey guys...I'm seriously considering purchasing a RDX (currently driving a 15 mustang gt)...The K23 definitely seems like a unicorn. Once I find a clean low mileage RDX to mod up Wrench I'm coming to see you (I live in South Jersey).
