Used 2010 Tech
Hey Gang,
2003 TL and 2006 MDX owner here.
The TL is 10 years old and we are looking at replacing it. We just found a decent deal on a 2010 ZDX Tech.
What are the ZDX's major issues? Transmission?
Will the 2003 TL wheels fit the ZDX? We have an extra set of OEM wheels for the TL for our winter tires and it would be nice if they fit the ZDX.
Any thing you guys want to share about the ZDX?
Any and all input is welcome.
Thanks.

Hi, where are you located? I don't have a ZDX but I have researched and shopped them online and test drove one recently. There is not much forum activity, as it is a very small niche car and new monthly sales have dived to double digits. The 2013 and last Z just came out, all trims were dropped and it is now a mix of the Tech and Adv features with a few new ones.
No major issues with the Z that I've seen. There was a tranny software update a while back I think.
No, TL wheels will not fit the Z. Stock TL is probably 17" like my CL, the Z is 19" I think, and 20 was offered.
Besides the fact that used prices vary greatly, 2010 Zs can be had for about half orig price now. I was shopping a harder to find Adv model. If you aren't picky on color, black, silver, and white are most common. The Umber (saddle) and Sumatra (dark brown) interiors are rarest.
3 yr lease returns should start showing up in Jan. I think a lot of Zs were leased and 2010 was the biggest model year.
I believe as the new Acuras, RLX, TLX, and new MDX come out starting in 2013, the Z will devalue even more, added by the fact that higher mpg is a big change in new cars. The electric aided new RLX will get 30mpg city and hiway. The Z with 15 city will be a harder sale in my opinion.
good luck.

Thanks for the input Speed.
Wife spent a half hour with the car yesterday. She just loves it. Her only complaint is she has difficulty getting into and out of the ZDX. I think it is the wider threshold. Not sure if that will be a deal breaker or not. We'll see.

The front seats for me are hip high, so I can just laterally slide in. Some one shorter might have more problems. My CLS seats are much lower.
Entering the Z back seats is another animal. Circ de Soleil would feel at home getting in. I have to head in head first and worm in. I don't mind that but I don't like that my head/hair is always touching the liner, which is uncomfortable. and if I lean forward my head hits the bump in the headliner.
happy shopping.
