Tranmission and power steering leak on 2010

So, I had to take my ZDX to a different dealer for an A13 service because my usual dealer could not accomodate me when I needed that service. I'm usually pretty good about not getting 'taken for a ride' and having to pay additional costs. I confirmed beforehand that the cost of the service & labour would be the same as at my usual dealer and that I would not need the '1' service (tire rotation) because we switch winters/all-seasons regularly.

I thought everything was going fine, until I get the call from the dealer that they 'need to talk to me about my car'. They told me that my transmission is leaking and that there is fluid EVERYWHERE. Everything was completely covered with fluid. Apparently, it took them a good deal of time to clean it all up and they couldn't identify where the leak came from. They also told me that the power steering rack was leaking as well. After all that, I'm told that I need to bring in the vehicle back to them in a week for them to check. No mention of how much or how little I should drive it before I bring it back in to them...

Anyone else have problems with leaking transmission and power steering racks in their 2010s? I've heard of the transmission problems in the 2005 MDXs, but I hope Acura would have gotten on top of that issue by now.

What gets me is that I don't have any 'proof' there were ever a leaks. They didn't take any pictures, or even show me that they were leaking. There have been no fluid warning lights that have gone off and I have no fluid 'puddles' in the garage. I have to take them at their word for it. If it were at my dealer, I wouldn't even think twice. I know them, they know me. But here, I'm just a VIN to these guys.

My vehicle has fairly low mileage on it so all of that work should still be covered by warranty. I don't think a dealer wouldn't 'make up' issues with the car that were still covered by warranty, would they?

the fuck.

I would ask them to prove that it was leaking.
a tranny leak and a steering rack leak will leave oil all over your floor.

I think this calls for an emergency visit to your normal dealer/mechanic...

These most famous words come to mind: "Trust but verify"
