Thinking about moving from a TL to a ZDX

Hey everyone,

I currently have a 2009 TL w/Tech with about 81k miles. It's an amazing car - i love just about everything about it - the acceleration / handling / sound system / rear cam / navigation!

But over the past 3 years, the stiff suspension become increasingly uncomfortable (maybe I'm just getting old)... anyway, my local dealer just received a 2012 ZDX w/Tech that is CPO with 33.5k miles.

My questions are: how is the ride on a 2012 ZDX? Can you compare it to another vehicle? What do you like and don't like about yours?

The spec sheet shows it is AWD full time and 3.7L 300hp. Is that correct for a non- SH-AWD version?

thanks for your input

Why not test drive it, so you can compare to the TL ride?

Each persons version of what a "stiff suspension" is very different.

I plan to.. but they're way across town and closed today.

I was trying to see if anyone here could comment and give me an upfront idea that would lead me to cross it off my list such as "it's loud and drives like you can feel every bump" or provide some insight such as "the cabin is as quiet as the MDX".. something like that.

ZDX comes with SH-AWD only and same engine
Tech suspension is quite soft, somewhere between comfort and sport mode for Advance package

For me the ZDX drove a pretty darn smooth ride, a rather nice and quiet cabin ride in terms of wind noise going at 60/75mph, the one thing I wasn't so fond of but got used to very easily was the heavy(not hard) gas pedal, but once you got the car going it got going nicely. Loved the sound system loads, also very good for blocking wind noise haha.

Would definitely recommend going for a test drive if you think you can get a good deal or are slightly inclined.

I'd say the suspension is firm but not harsh. I was pleasantly surprised and I even though it still drives big, it's definitely tighter around corners than a taller MDX as well. I'd be curious to feel the difference between the Sport and Comfort modes on the Advance package.

With my '13 I just put the shifter is S. The ZDX has a much smoother and quieter ride than not only the TL, but I think the RLX would be the only Acura with a better and quieter ride than the ZDX. Mine is like a vault.
