Possibly buying zdx, ?s
Hi all,
my 2012 tsx was just totaled, oh it hurts cuz I bought it brand new and was made in Japan. Interested in a ZDX with maybe 80k miles on it.
oil consumption seems to be the biggest issue… which I hope I can see if a previous owner got the recall fixed on a car when I find one. Is there anything solid that I can see this occurred on?
also, any other issues I should worry about?
inthink when I get it I will instantly change tranny fluid, differential fluid, oil, coolant, and see if timing belt was changed along with water pump.
any suspension items I should watch for?

About 5 thousand of these cars have been sold in the USA , which means that they are very rare and over time their original parts will be extremely expensive. The most important thing in these engines is the condition of the cylinders, if the engine consumes oil due to the destruction of the cylinders, then a new engine is needed, if it is due to clogged oil rings, then bingo!

Not one part of the interior and body does not fit from the MDX. They only have interchangeable suspension elements, a rear differential and an outboard engine.

Suspension problems , well when I bought mine it had 57,000 miles and I live in KC and had it shipped from Tennessee so I get it and the front struts were loose , kinda rattling and the guy that sold it pretend he never noticed it. Well before I purchased it I had a Honda place look at it overall to check it out and they said car was great nothing wrong so when Acura here told me my struts are bad $4,000 maybe they fixed on good will due to Honda Told me it was not any problems and it was. Never the less it would have cost me $4,000 but it was fixed on hood will so have struts checked out before buying. They say they only last 40-50,000 miles and mine were shot.
that was on Advance model only I believe.
