Thanks, they were actually pretty simple to open up. After removing the screws from the back of the housing that holds the lens on, I just heated up around the lens and pulled apart. It was easier then I was expecting so that was good. Just take your time!

The only photo I have is this crappy iphone shot. I still need to change out the bulb to a LED for a more white and brighter look. Once Christmas is over and family leaves town I plan on finishing everything.

Very nice, I like how the silver contrasts against all the black. I'd keep the running boards/fog trim things/exhaust surrounds as they are.

man mad props. I always thought the ZDX is advanced in it's class, but your mod takes it to a whole new level. I love it.


Now im contemplating whether I should add extra 20k to my budget to get ZDX instead of 08 tl-s :/

All I have to say is, "Swwweeet!". The very changes that I had wondered about...are on your ride. I can see how awesome those changes look. There is just no other vehicle out there for me...besides my ZDX. I upgraded from a black base ZDX to a silver TECH. After looking at your pics....I definitely want to go back to the color black!!!!! Soooo awesome looking!!!!! Post more pics when you can.

Happy New Year Everyone! I have had some mixed emotions about my wheels lately and have been looking for another set in 20". Im honestly getting tired of the lack of power with them. The ride doesnt bother me at all its just a power thing. For one the 22" are taller and heavier then stock. I told myself if I go to a 20" it will have to be lighter then the stock 19" wheel and tire combo. I have been searching high and low for a wheel that I think will do the job. Im going with a 20x10 Advan RS-D Matte Black. I did a quick photoshop to see what it looks like. Tommy Likey

Man I LOVE your ZDX. This wil definitey help sway my wife into letting my buy this car. I love everything you did with it, but i was am on the fence with this mod. I am a fan of blacking chrome out of cars, but i think the chrome window trim here really helps to defines the curves of the zdx. Still gorgeous car. I used to give your car a 13 out of 10, now its a 12.87, lol.

update:okay after i saw what you did to your 22's, its back up to 15/10, lol. I also think the Vossens look much better. What happened to the black BBS'?

Thanks for the kind words. Im still looking at the BBS wheels just havent seen them on a SUV. I love this wheel actually, pretty light too. I just really like the Advans because of the lip, it may look smaller though too because of that. I have some decisions to make

I did a full day yesterday detailing the car back to new. No more damn swirls for now. Clay bar + Polish + Wax = Happy! And today I painted the front silver bumper pieces to black. Which I thought at first I liked but it was bugging me so I went black. It looks a lot better I think.

That looks great! Did you take them off to paint them? Do you have a resource for working on your car, like a repair manual or something that describes how to take it apart? What kind of paint do you use? Thanks in advance for the help - I have a feeing these won't be my only questions...

Unfortunately you do have to take the bumper off to get the silver inserts out. Taking the bumper off is an easy task. I did not use any type of manuel, which you wont need. When you get to this point let me know and I can give you instructions if you need them. I painted them with Plasti Dip, its a matte black finish. You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes. Let me know if you have anymore questions

She's pretty. I picked up a 2010 ZDX yesterday. Black on black. My first Honda/Acura product. Only mods right now is the clear bra but you have been kind enough to provide awesome ideas that my kids' college funds are not appreciative of. Please continue to keep us posted on your progress. You definitely have a ton of passion and knowledge.

Never liked the ZDX, until I saw yours just now. Looks amazing in its current state. The drop is really what sets it apart for me. I hate how the ZDX in its normal state just looks like a 4x4 car.

gotta say, the avatar pic of your zdx with the chrome trim around the windows and the high 3q shot is damn near perfect. also I think the bbs or bbs style split 7 spoke rims would make your zdx perfect in 20 inch size. I know you like it the way it is and it is your car but damn those black bbs style rims are hot on 'sporty' suvs such as the zdx. no chrome or brightwork on them at all because its distracting from the overall look. you cant go wrong regardless it seems as youre so talented in the 'design' area. good work

It funny you say that, I have been trying to find a custom tag that would go well with this car. I have tried DarthVadar but I cant find anything available If you guys get creative and think of a darthvadr in 7 leters let me know

I have never cared for the ZDX till I drove it and seen it in person. I knew from there I could turn this thing into a unique piece of metal.

Im actually really considering the black BBS CH-R for the ZDX very soon. The size I want to go with is a 20x10.5 with a +35 offset and get it machined to a +40. It will stick out +3mm from my Vossens but I think it will be ok. The Vossens look great, but the 22" is getting a little old in the performance area. Maybe I should of bought a different car if I was going for performance
