My 2010 Acura ZDX Advanced CBP

Well I have been looking at the TL and the ZDX lately and pulled the trigger on a ZDX Advanced over the weekend This is my first Auto and SUV(is that what I should call it lol) Still learning all the Tech but I really love everything about this vehicle.

So now its time for the mod bug I have ordered 22" Vossen CV1 yesterday. This weekend I plan on debadging and maybe tinting the front windows. Hopefully someone will offer a lowering kit soon.

Does anyone know if the intake from the TL will work on the ZDX? I would like here from all you ZDX guys on some mods you have found if any.

Now off to the good part, the pics Enjoy!

Yesterday I did a test fit on my ZDX at work of my new wheels. Unfortantly I have to order more in since we only had two in stock, no biggie. Im really excited guys!!

Beautiful car - congrats on the pick up. But I have to say I agree about the stock wheels looking better.

Enjoy.

I dont think so, but thanks for the feedback dude! Im also buying a 20" BBS CH-R in black for road trips so I will have a different look and better ride. How does your 20" Set ride? Did you ever drive on the 19" stockers? Just curious your thoughts on ride comfort.

Thanks a lot! Thanks for the feedback on the wheels too. I know everyone's style is different and its all good Im more curious to see how the ride comfort will change. If the ride sucks, I will be going down to a 20".

Ugh, those wheels don't go with that vehicle. If you like them that's what matters, but I'm just not feeling it.

Congrats on the new ZDX. As far as the wheels go that is a personal choice by all of us and what really counts is what you like. Will be watching for your progress on the new ride, 19,000+ km's on our CBP ZDX and no regrets.

Thanks for your kind words, I also think the vossens are a great fit for this vehicle. What Vossen did you run on the G37?

Here is the 20" option I will be going with as well. Now I just need to decide one color, any suggestions?

20" BBS CH-R

Love the ZDX and I think that Vossen CV1 go very well with it.
I have to admit that CV1 are my favorite wheels now and wish they fit my TSX

I'm getting the mod bug a bit myself, I think I'm going to have the front end silver plastic painted all black. I played around with it a bit in Photoshop and I like the way it looks.

COngrats on the purchase! I think ZDX's look great in black.

And i do think the aftermarket wheels look good, but I would have gone one size smaller on them

I agree the ZDX is a really nice wheel from the factory. I actually have seen the TL with this wheel and it looks great!

Thanks, the CV1 is one of my favorite wheels too. Cant lose on the concave look on these wheels.

Nice! I too am about to pull the grille off and get it painted hopefully next week before I get the clear bra installed. I love the grille, I just think its a bit bright on the black.

Thanks! Ya at first I was going with 20" but thought they looked a bit small. The 22" may be too big for my taste but we will see once I get them installed. I honestly think a 21" is a perfect match but hard to find sizes and tires are pretty pricey.

No, I never drove a ZDX with the stock 19" wheels so I have nothing to directly compare my ride to. I can definitely say it's more comfort-tuned all-around than my RDX or the L-Tuned GS430 it replaced.

Good luck with your wheel choice and, for what it's worth, I actually like those BBS's in black and think they'd look positively evil on your CBP ZDX...

Honestly, I thought the ZDX had a pretty weird shape, but after seeing your pics, it had the sloping roof of a porsche 911. It is so nice! I really like the rims. Really sets the black paint nice. PS: my neighbor has those black BBS with the white lip, on his 2011 audi S4.

Thanks for the input on the ride comfort. I know for a fact I will notice the biggest difference jumping up 3 sizes compared to just one. Im still really impressed with the ride comfort with this vehicle, but then again I have been driving sport cars the last 10 years of my life.

The BBS wheel in black does have a very evil but sporty look which I favor the most personally over the Vossen. I guess working at a wheel shop for so long wheels just seem to look smaller and smaller. I think if I could find a lowering kit I would want the 20" the most. But I will not choose looks over comfort on this vehicle. So if the 22" ride bad they will go

This car does not do justice in photos. For the longest time I stopped looking at them because I thought they looked odd. When I saw this in person it was so polarizing and different I knew it was for me. The solid ride reminds me of my old BMW M3 for some weird reason.

So I plan on taking my car in next week for a clear bra install. I thought this would be the best time to take the grille off and get it painted as well. I did up some chops to give us ZDX owners a good idea of some different looks.

I had 20" Vossen 083's on my G37.

In regards to the BBS wheels I like the silver ones over the matte black.

When it comes to your options for the front end I like #5 and #7.

Good luck with the ride

Looks like a lot of you guys have the same taste in grille options I want to go with.

I spent a couple hours this weekend taking some of the emblems off the back to give it a clean look

Thank you! I would love to see what you have done to your ride, make a thread and post some pics of the smoked rear

You know I wish I had something better to use when I did this. I used citrus goo gone and it did not cut thru the glue as good as I would have liked. It took me a couple hours lol. I even had the Arizona heat to help me

On my TL, I used a blow dryer to heat up the badges, then tooth floss (fishing line is ok too) and put goo gone on the residue thats left- worked for me.

awesome thread

hey can you tell me what size of tires you had on the 22s in the pics? i'm thinking of putting 265/40r22 on my zdx but figure it will likely rub. i am guessing you went 265/35r22. let us know if they rub once you've had them on long enough!

the 22's look great btw. you're right, 19 and 20 are small these days. 22 is perfect, 24 would be getting a lil too big.

Thanks for your feedback! I will be running a 285/35/22 Pirelli Scorpion Zero. Keep in mind the wheels are 10.5 wide so this is why I went this big. I would not recommend a 40 series tire for I think it will be too tall. Depending on the wheel size you are going with I would go with a 265/35/22. Hope this helps!

Those rims are going to look tight, bro. Good choice.

I do like the blacked out grill as well. Nice flow you got going there on the front end.

Why did you black out the circle "A" emblem on the back but not on the front (where you already blacked out the grill)?

Love that ass shot. Painting reflectors do wonders. I see that you also blacked out 'A' too. Looks great. Waiting to see some pics after the wheels are on.
