Muffler Sound - How To Make Louder?

I'm still loving my beloved ZDX, and I love its muffler sound when being 'pushed' a bit harder.

If you have seen the new 2012 TL ads on TV, where there is a base TL inside a huge hangar, then at the door, suddenly the 'Advance' TL rushed in (making that lovely sound) before doing a 360 ending up next to the base TL.

I think the ZDX has the same exact sound with that Advance TL when being pushed, correct?

The question is, how do I make this sound louder (without being sound 'cheap')?

I'm in love with Aston DBS' sound even when idle (gosh, who doesn't?); I wonder if we can make Acura to sound 'exotic' like that as well...?

I just don't want to unnecessarily pushed my ZDX all the time... ;-)

Now that the weather has cooled down and the windows are down I too need some more sound. I was going to start this project but im waiting for a vendor on the MDX boards to finish production on the J-Pipe and high flow cat for I think I can get them to fit. For starters if you replace your mufflers with magnaflow I think you might get the sound your looking for. I will be doing a full cat back when I get done. Im going to have an intake made as well. When I took my car in to a muffler shop awhile ago he quoted me around 250 for replacing two mufflers and cat. Which is a lot cheaper then the route im going. I think when I get done it will be around 1200. I will keep you guys posted on everything. Still waiting for H&R to produce the Odyssey springs I want to test fit.

Question bolt-ons please...

Are their even any aftermarket bolt-ons for the ZDX yet? This vehicle looks like one people would like to modify, no?

Nope, there is nothing out there for this car. I check everyday! Its very hard to tell at this point if anyone will step up and produce anything for the ZDX. There is not enough demand right now for this car let alone aftermarket parts. Time will only tell, but I cant wait so I will be going the custom route I guess.

I’m sure most the magna flow mufflers are universal. Different diameters and lengths will give you your desired sound. The muffler guy told me to go with a longer one to keep the sound down a little bit. I would call magna flow and ask a rep, they will have much better info then me.
