Interesting development lately on telematics, largely because HondaLink and AcuraLink apps are as bad as Honda's 2026 F1 engine:

Someone reverse-engineered the protocol used by Acura EV app:

Another guy used the service framework to create an iOS app called "(Re)link" for ZDX/Prologue.

Another person decompiled HondaLink Android app, and reverse-engineered an Android app:

Coincidentally, Acura EV Android app has been more reliable with the 2.7.13 update.

 

Very interesting. Nice find! Sad that it took an outsider to give us a reliable app.

Has anyone tried it? I'm leery of using it since it requires my Acura login and gives access to my car.

 

Thanks for the links, Sony, as soon as I figure out how to get the android version on my phone I'll try it out. My experience with version 2.7.13 of the Acura app is just more of the same! After 3 to 5 minutes, I get the message - Unable to update data. Please try again in a few minutes. Rinse and repeat. Zero value!

 

You might want to check out reddit threads r/HondaPrologue and r/AcuraZdx. Both devs are quite active there.

 

Logue is available on Play Store. I gave it a shot, and it works like a charm. Just keep in mind that it is still limited by the slow communication of Honda backend service with the car (for example, the backend service might sometimes need a minute or two to see the car has started charging).

 

I just downloaded and launched Logue on my Pixel 10 and the details from my ZDX appeared within 5 seconds! I trust it's correct based on memory as I'm currently crossing the Atlantic on a cruise ship. I'll verify next week when I get home, but it looks VERY impressive.

Yeah, the app shows how incompetent AH is on software. One man with AI tool got the job done, while AH spent two years shuffling developers going nowhere. Humm, that sounds familiar with so many Honda things these days.

I glanced over source codes and ran an AI audit of the codebase. The app seems reasonably secured. I have provided some feedback to the developer and hopefully we will see continuous improvements.
