I recently acquired a 2012 ZDX in February. Up until this issue the car has been driving fine and passed every inspection during routine oil changes. In the past 2 weeks I’ve noticed the RPM fluctuating especially when I’m getting out of stop and go traffic in tunnels and etc.

I’ve checked trans fluid and it’s clean and at the proper level. Idk if the TSB bulletin for B12-007 has been applied prior to my ownership.

is the ZDX known for having transmission issue? Anyone experienced this and how did you remedy?

I would ask the dealer if it’s a TSB out or software upgrade. Problems like that I would go to dealer

There are too many variables to blindly diagnose it over the internet. It could be a fuel supply, IAC, ECU, ignition, faulty sensor or even as simple as a restricted air filter. Best to visit a service provider.
