No such a thing, you can either have a cold air intake (which came on your car from the factory) or a warm air short ram intake. You cannot have both.

so something like here is not technically a cold air intake but rather warm air? even though they call it a cold air intake?
https://www.knfilters.com/cold-air-intakes/acura/el

this is what i have connected to my air filter box right now
https://i.ebayimg.com/thumbs/images/...sGr/s-l225.jpg

I want to remove that, the air filter, and then run a cold air intake right off the throttle body.
just like they show here
https://www.civicforumz.com/civic-di...05-civic-8576/

so you would suggest i just leave the cold air intake in place as typically it will give me more power, correct?

K&N is playing fast and loose with terms. By definition, a short ram is way too short to be anything but a warm air intake.

As for power increases, by changing the intake path you change the resonance in the intake plumbing. By changing the resonance you may well add a few extra ponies up near redline at wide open throttle, however, that comes with a tradeoff in that mid-range resonance is virtually always reduced which will in turn reduce our mid-range torque. So, where do you want the best power?
