if you're using zfx... you're supposed to mix it in z2 and z5. if you're using z1, you're supposed to put in on the car first, then apply a coat of z2 on top of it. basically the zfx/z1 is supposed to help dry the polish onto your car. otherwise you'll have to let z2 sit on your car overnight to get similar results.

you coat of polish was prolly too thick. its supposed to be a very thin layer. the 4 bottles that comes w/ the zfx... you're supposed to be able to polish the car 3-4 times w/ one full bottle.

What I meant to say is, it was "dry" after 30 min. It came off completely.
Sorry for the confusion.
ANd yes, the 2oz.+ I used was good for almost 2 coats. The stuff is just NOW starting to wear in high water/dirt zones.

For everyone else, ZFX negates the need for Z1. Z1 is merely a lock for Z2 and used only the first time. ZFX can be mixed and used up to 3 times in 1 day of the first application. Then you wait a week.
I have used both Z1 process and ZFX process. I have to say, I like the ZFX best. Much less time to put on and much easier to remove. Besides, the application bottle helps to measure it out. I can get 2 coats with 1 application bottle of ZFX (this includes wheels, emblems, light covers and door thresholds).

If you apply Z2 without Z1 or ZFX on the top layer, it will not really "cure". Usually just mix 2 oz. of Z2 with ZFX and that whole bottle will last you for 2 coats.

Yes. It will take forever to dry. That is all it is---something to speed things up so you don't have to let your car sit overnight.
