Windshield defect? or waterspots?

I've tried cleaning my 06 TSXs windshield (interior and exterior) with just about everything, but can't get these spots to come off.

I tried Stoner's Invisible Glass, RainX Cleaner, Hondas Glass Cleaner and Windex to no avail.

Anyone know if this is some defect in the windshield or water spots?

In this order;

1) White Vinegar on a cloth and let it dwell (if that doesn't work then )

2) Clay Bar (if that doesn't work then )

3) #0000 steel wool with a QD spray. Followed by Vinegar to clean it up.

I have vinegar and a clay bar, so I'll try those tonight and see if either works.

I have the same issue but smaller water dried spots on my moonroof and some part of my windshield. I want to know the outcome of this.

You definitely have to get aggressive to remove that. If you have a rotary buffer, try a glass polishing kit w/ the special pad and polish.
