Are you using tirewet? I had experienced the same problem b4 when applying tirewet on my tires. When your brakes wear down, the dust then sticks to the silicone base shit from tirewet and wears the black coat of the rubber down. Foam spray does the same thing. I am not an "Professional Acura Detailer" *cough* so don't quote me on my answers. Also make sure that the same tool/rag/sponge you use on your tires to give it a glaze is clean. There are some cleaners out there that restore rubber, but you have to pay a little. I deal with only Blackfire/Zaino/or Griot's Garage products now so, i haven't had a problem with the brown tire look for about three years. OH and wash your tires thoro!

That's the main thing you need to do before applying some sort of gloss enchancer to the tires.

I'm guessing Meguiars endurance is the culprit. That and a dirty tire.

Eagle One had this tire cleaner spray available for a while around here. Can't find it any more. But with just cleaning the tire with this stuff, the tires kept the black semi flat look of a newer tire. This was without a treatment.
I now just scrub them with a brush, and then use a small ammount of low gloss dressing, that I buff out with a rag.

Looks pretty good.
But I hate that wet look on tires.

I don't use any dressing on my tires. Just go to the autoparts store and get a brush to clean the tires.

Tires alone WILL TURN BROWN. They must be regularly washed! I am a professional detailiner, I do it for a job.
I REGUARLY use meg's emdurance high gloss, and had neer had a problem.

Only Black magic stuff that is decent is the tire wet GEL. the spray is crap.

PDI

hope it helps

I dont use any silicone based product on my tires. After awhile they started to turn brown then into a greenish tone. I now use meguires tire cleaner then some 303 protect to get a nice shine.

Are the tires bran new??? My sit was brown when they were new. After a couple coats of tire dressing (Meguiars endurance ) everytime i washed my car it stayed black. So I'm guessing you had new tires.

Yea, you just have to wash the tires with some type of cleaner and a stiff brush.
