Angry Where to buy 100% Cotton towels

Ok, I'm totally frustrated. In following the Zaino recommendations I set out to find Cannon or Fieldcrest towels.. No one seems to sell them. Even on the big dept. store web sites. Tried Linens and Things, nada.

Ok, so bag the name brand.. NONE of the towels I found were made in the USA. Egypt, India, etc.

As long as it's 100% cotton, is it ok to use? Trying Kohls, Kmart and Walmart on the way home 2nite. If I can't find it, gone with something as I need new towels to use on my new baby!

I've emailed Sal before and he indicated that any high-quality white towels that are 100% cotton and made in the US are fine. He cited the Canon and Fieldcrest towels to demonstrate that you may have to spend up to $20 per towel for the thick, high-quality bath towels.

I buy my towels at Linens 'n Things. They sell some great 100% cotton, white towels made in the US (at least here in Nashville). You usually have to search through their towels since they offer a large variety of towels. Also, I've bought good towels at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

I'd recommend that you try looking again, perhaps at another Linens 'n Things location in your area or their website.

This detailing towel AlpineFiber™ is made entirely of a blend of micro fibre cotton and pima cotton, 100% Cotton (50% Cotton Microfiber/50% Pima Cotton) Its scratch resistance has a lot to do with the way the fibres are processed and spun, there are too many factors to be able to say conclusively that natural fibres will not cause scratches and artificial fibres will. In my opinion, however, natural fibres are far less likely to scratch, flannel or cotton flannel is a very tight weave and it could scratch as it mats down easily, always try to stay with a terrycloth weave.

Product specific - DF Alpine™ - (http://www.dftowel.com) is exceptionally soft, super absorbent terrycloth. The fabric is woven from a blend of micro fibre cotton and Pima Cotton; no artificial fibres of any kind are used in the weaving or sewing of this product.
