What product do you use to make your TL look show room floor new?

Well I am a Meguiar's type of guy for my black '09 TL SHAWD Tech. Currently, I am using the Ultimate Compound for the swirls and scratches, the Ultimate Polish for the deep black and the Ultimate Liquid Wax to protect. I have a 6" DA that I use to make the job go quicker. I almost went with the Black Wax, but decided to go this route. So what do you use? I have created a poll too just to see what brand is used most.

From my search on this forum, Zainos seems to be the consensus; by far. I'm paying my buddy $50 to wash, wax and polish it for me next month when the rain subsides. I'll come back with the products he'll be using on Monday. He swears those ones work better than Zaino's. I'll float it around here and see what others think of it.

MeGuire's is decent products for a good price. I do like the Klasse 2 step, gloss and sealant, it costs more - but I use so little that it lasts a long time.

Turtle wax products are not good at all, just cheap stuff imo.

Optimum no rinse for washes. Opti-seal for sealant. Optimum spray wax. Chemical guys leather products and interior cleaner. Haven't had to polish the car yet. Probably will use optimum hyper polish to combat the swirls.

I use Auto Glym body shampoo to wash the car and Meguires Ultimate line of polish ,wax, sealant and quick detailer.

Having compared my car to other Pearl White TL's , these combo of products seem the enhance the pearl finish better imo.

Chip, if you're a Megs guy, why did you spell it wrong in the Poll?

I started out with Zaino too, which was recommended by my Acura dealership. I've used a lot of different products since. I'm really liking all of the Griot's Garage products currently.

Steven - no excuses on the spelling just messed up. We will see if the Meguire's will compete with the Zaino. Up until it was mentioned here I had never heard of it.

Just followed the standard routine ... 1st wash with Dawn ... next clay ... next wash with Z8 ... then applied 2 coats of Z5 on a Saturday and followed with 2 coats of Z2 the next day ... lightly spraying a coat of Z6 after each coat per instructions. Am waiting to do this routine on my S5 but I am toying with the idea of going in a different direction.

Wouldn't hold a lot in that ... A lot of detailers use what can make the most money for them the fastest knowing the end user won't keep it up anyway.

Zaino and Klasse are prolly the best out there but both are contingent on prep. If you don't polish the paint out to near perfection they will just amplify the flaws.

Old saying is you can put 10 coats of wax on dog shit and all you get is shiny dog shit.

I have used both with success and usually followed up after a few layers with something to add a little depth.

I don't know how widely known Auto Glym is down here below you border. I did favor it when I lived in the U.K.

My 2013 Genesis RSpec

Longevity and protection: Opti Coat + clear bra the entire front clip

The entire front end was clear wrapped, meaning entire hood, full front fenders and front bumper. Also, the entire car was coated with Optimum Opti Coat 2.0

The front upper grill piece was removed so that Nick could wrap the film into the gap to eliminate any lines or edges. It is also wrapped over the front edge of the hood.

The front headlights were also removed to allow him to tuck the film into the very tight seal of the headlights against the fenders, eliminating lines or edges in the film.

Film was also wrapped into the door edge and A-Pillar gap.

It's interesting to see so many using Zaino. It hasn't been discussed here for quite a while. It's a good product!

I am going to order a DA on amazon and really detail my car up right. I did a 1' x 1' taped off patch on my hood by hand to see how well the Megs ultimate compound (UC) and Ultimate Polish (UP) worked. It worked great. All the swirls were gone and most of the scratches. I think the rest will come out when I use the DA. I spray misted just to lightly protect. Once I use the Ultimate Liquid Wax I hope that it pops.

Steven I need to stop in and meet you at the dealership. I asked for you one day and you were gone. I work nearby on Ward Parkway. You might have some good advice for me on my car.
