What kind of wax should I use- '98 Taffeta White CL

Before I bought my CL the most I ever did with my previous beater cars was a hand wash and turtle wax, etc. The paint on my car looks pretty good, but given that its white, of course every imperfection shows. Everyone that ever sees the car on the parking lot at work says how flawless it looks and can't believe its a '98. But...given that I'm really anal about keeping this car (my first 'nice' car) as flawless as I can, I notice the usual scratches & barely noticable swirls all over the car.

I want to give it a good hand wash and wax before the winter weather strikes, so what would be the most practical products to use, and what order should I use them in? Key: Time is at a premium!! This is my almost 8 year old daily driver so I realize that a showroom-like finish isn't practical, but I do want to keep my car in "wow, that's a nice looking car" condition. Is a wax (like Meguires) good enough? Or should i take it a step further and do a clay treatment, etc.

Thanks for any advice for this really caring about a car's appearence

This is Meguiars 3 step process:

I havent used all those but I am sure they are pretty good. Last time I did my car I used a clay bar first, then polish, then wax.

FIRST< I use Mother Clay Bar or Meguiar's

SECOND< Then I use their POLISH

LAST < wax : Then (instead of using that Crystal wax, I like this one
