Wax vs. Polish

Okay, what's the difference between a wax and a polish? I have finally put my initial 6 coats of Zaino polish on my car but the question keeps coming up on why I don't put some wax on it? Is there any advantage to having a layer of wax vs. just putting polish on? I always though polish was a little more abrasive whereas a pure wax will just add a layer of protection.

So what's the scoop? Someone please educate me...

Zaino, of course, is a polymer. When one thinks of the word "wax," one almost always thinks of carnauba, which Zaino is not. A polish usually has a lot of fillers and oil -- which Zaino does not have -- to give a great shine. Probably a better name would be Zaino Polymer Protectant, but then I don't run the company. Zaino has the great shine that a polish provides AND Zaino has UV protection and is extremely durable. You're fine with what you've been doing. No need to add anything on top of the Zaino.

ill add two more cents here . .

the idea that wax actually protects is a weak one in most cases -
the polymer - any polymer - outprotects most waxes by a long shot . .

just a question now . . . how or who does the wax question come up from ?
